    This line makes virtually no sense whatsoever

    So game 1 the Warriors were a 7.5 point underdoggie. And they lose their second best player and best low post threat, a guy who led the NBA in Double Doubles, an All Star, and the line for game to is 8?

    They are saying David Lee is only worth half a point?

    Lee was very quiet IMO. He missed a ton of easy looks and seemed to struggle.

    Perhaps the books don't think the loss of him will be that significant.

    A double double guy should have more impact on the line than that, the books are basically acknowledging that they underestimated the Warriors is what is happening here.

    You're looking at this all wrong, which seems to happen on this site ALL the time.

    You forgot that the line is NOT what Vegas anticipates the final score differential being, the line is simply based on their PERCEPTION of public action. The line is designed to draw equal action on both sides. The bookmaker may think that the warriors get murdered in this game by 15, yet the line is not designed with that in mind.

    Balancing the action, that is the only purpose of the line.
