This thread will also monitor the progress of the teams directly in front
of the Lakers in the standings. HOUSTON, UTAH and GOLDEN STATE

They are currently 4 games out (Houston defeated Brooklyn)*
Utah not playing tonite.

Lakers are hosting Portland this evening.

Houston winning on road.

A loss, coupled with a Houston win,
creates the need for at least two more wins in

It's comical how obsessed he is w/ Lakers. I don't think he's ever made a post that wasn't anti Lakers 3,600+ post & 100% of them centered on his jealousy of the Lakers
It's pretty pathetic when your life revolves around a particular team losing. It's not healthy. He worries more about the Lakers losing than his team winning....how sad is that??
Guess that's what happens when a teams success causes you a decade of sleepless nights.
Most fans don't blink an eye when it comes to whoever slides into the 7th/8th seed. This guy is on the edge of his seat with two months worth of games remaining completely consumed on days Lakers play. That's how desperate he has become that the Lakers don't make the playoffs. That's what his life has come too like it's some self satisfaction or something if Lakers miss the playoffs

I can think of plenty. Just look at the Marlins last year, or last years Red Sox. What about the "Dream Team" Philadelphia Eagles from a couple years ago.

Get this through your amateur head....a basketball game is 48 min long. This isn't college where a team that's ahead is ahead for a reason & almost always hangs on. You r obviously very young & don't understand this basic concept. Guaranteed u haven't been sports betting for more than a couple years.
Also, the object is to win the game, not blow people out. I can give u a million examples how the best team in the league "only" beat the worst team in the league by 4. Or even lost for heaven's sake. Means nothing. I guess w/ experience you will learn these basic NBA concepts, but probably not.

this was Cuban's way of tricking Kobe into shooting too much, particularly 3 PT shots.
He knows that Kobe has low impulse control.. and once challenged will go out
there and heave them all night.. wether going in or not.

might work, might not. Chances are very good it will.. Kobe is terrible from 3-pT range now.
but you never know. maybe the refs have been instructed to keep the Lakers alive
because of all the money it generates.

Dallas is better than their record.

If a team needs to 'dig deep' and requires ref-assistance to squeak past the Blazers in their own building,
they cannot not make the playoffs. It's not good enough.

i am predicting a 3-4 game lose streak that will knock them out..
not sure exactly when it is going to begin.. might be next game,
