    How do Action Reverse Parlay's work?

    I know this is probably a stupid question for everyone here, but I am a totally noob on Action Reverse picks.

    I notice Khmerkid uses them all the time. Does he use this as a type of hedge bet?

    Again how do they work

    Yeah I was wondering that too Hard Core.

    Again if you put in a bet let's say Miami Boston under 195 and you put it in Action Reverse at under 195 and it goes over does that mean you win on the Action Reverse bet?

    Action reverse of 2 bets at -110
    Lose both bets => -1.0000 units
    Lose 1, Win 1 => -0.5455 units
    Win both bets => +1.8182 units
    EV at 4.545% juice per bet => -6.8182%

    Parlay of 2 bets at -110
    Lose both bets => -1.0000 units
    Lose 1, Win 1 => -1.0000 units
    Win both bets => +2.6446 units
    EV at 4.545% juice (per bet) => -8.8843%

    When he does a 3k action reverse he is really putting up 6k, if he loses both he loses 6k, if he splits them he loses a little over 3k, if he wins both he wins 12k

    Thanks for the replies and examples

    So it works the same as a parlay except the payout is higher and if you win 1 and lose 1 then you don't lose all of your money.

    Am I reading into this correctly?

    Again many thanks for the examples!!

    The payout is actually lower (compared to a parlay) if you win both bets but at the same time if you go 1-1 you lose less

    Isn't action reverse if you bet 30 on the first game and it wins, then you put 30 on the second game, for a chance to win little under 60.

    If you lose the first game, the second game doesn't receive a bet?

    A&R's

    My $50 A&R pays 200 - of I lose one side it cost me $55 (on -110 juice) both sides $110. ML A&R's cost more because of the higher juice. The only ML A&R's I can put in is on the NHL.

    No that's an IF bet I believe.

    I think an Action Reverse is basically an IF bet from both sides. Instead of bet A winning and then playing B when A wins, in an action reverse both A and B play but one loss doesn't blow the entire thing.

    From what I understand,

    Parlay:
    Throw down $N on Bets A and B hitting, all or nothing

    IF:
    Throw down $N on Bet A. If A hits, then play Bet B. Not sure on the payout compared to parlays/action reverse, probably lower than a parlay.

    Action Reverse:
    Throw down $N on BOTH A and B that BOTH get action (therefore throwing down $2N). Bets are linked but are independent. If both win, you win less than a parlay, but if only one wins, you lose less than a parlay.

    ^ I'm probably wrong though.
