    The Charlotte line move

From +5 to +2.5 -- including a 50 cent ML drop -- and they lose by double digits.

If you don't think books make moves that have nothing to do with money coming in, this is Exhibit A. No way some whale dropped a fortune on the Bobcats tonight.

Agree this was so bizarre. Caught my attention for small wager on atlanta but losing all back on rockets.

People were genuinely backing CHA because T Brothers was a ref.

Def due to all the injuries. No Zaza, no Horford, No D Harris.

I know there were guys out, but that usually doesn't lead to a 2.5 or even 3 point line move -- especially against a shit team like the Bobcats.

Don't think there was any whale business. Line moved because of injuries. Case closed.

Like I said, 2.5 or 3 point line moves in the NBA don't happen very often. Look at the guys out for the Spurs, and that only moved 1.5 points against one of the hotter teams in the league.

Agreed. Paul was out against the Grizz and I think the line only moved one point.

There was definitely value in the CHA +5 / +4.5 line. Losing by DD is always in the realm of possibilities for the Cats, but I never considered it to be probable.

I'd like to know how many times a line has closed more than 2 points away from its open this year in the NBA. Not very often, if at all.

probably a combo of Bobcat support/fading ATL and injury news. Atlanta was unexpectedly missing their two centers

But your talking about 3 of their 5 starters being out. In my opinion, when 3 of your 5 starters are out, that's worth about 2.5 pts to 3 pts.

Were they all announced out after the original line was released?

That I am not sure about. I believe Horford and Pachulia got scratched just a few hours before the game. Not sure about Harris.
