There is no way Philly should have won that game...other than the fact that Memphis' best player decided not to show and that information wasn't released until AFTER the game started. Kinda pertinent information, don't ya think?
Wow. To add to Gay's absence, Jason Richardson's replacement Dorell Wright (who the f*ck?) had a season-best 28 points on 8-of-11 from the floor and 7-of-8 from the line. And he only had a combined total of 15 points in their last two games. Spencer Hawes also had a season-best 20 points on 9-of-14 shooting, after only totaling 17 points in their last two games. Two season-best performances from bench players on top of Memphis missing their best player. Where amazing happens, right?
Apparently Rudy Gay got snowed in with his family on Christmas. Memphis front office needs to make some moves, this team is currently destined to get bounced in the first round.
