Hi,
Well I certainly can't make that bold promise, but I promise this will end well. I've been religiously watching the NBA for 20 years (I'm 30). I've been betting on sports for 15 years and have made money every year following my gut. I know I have a knack for this and want to share it with you all. Guess its the holiday spirit getting to me... UNPRECEDENTED PROFITS IF YOU TAIL!!!

#1 $110/$100
Jazz - 2 @ Magic
+$100...The public moved this line to Jazz +1.5 by gametime, and I still wasn't worried. Magic came out hot and built an early 16 point lead, and I still wasn't worried because the Magic, minus Big Baby, are a weak/rebuilding team that will live and die by the 3 (they were 9/20 tonight, which is why it was so close at the end).
+$206...This was an easy one from start to finish. Suns were playing on a b2b after a hard-fought game in Portland last night, against a top talent team riding a 12-game winning streak. Spurs are almost at full strength and I knew they wanted to make a statement tonight against Dallas with Dirk making his season debut. Spurs had a 46 point lead at one point in the game.
#3 $110/100
OVER 199 Knicks/Twolves
-$110...Fell 15 points short on this one. Twolves played great D and were completely able to slow the game down (only 12 fast break points combined between the two teams). Knicks shooting 6/26 and Twolves 7/22 from 3-point certainly didn't help. I also didn't realize Kevin Love was an out for Minnesota tonight. Had I known that I most likely would have passed, oh well.
#4 $110/$100
OVER 195 Blazers/Kings
+100...I liked this one a lot. It went 9 points over, so it was a little sweat at the end. But as expected, the Blazers weren't playing much defense due them being on the tail end of a b2b. Also, the Kings have shown they can put up points at home, with or without Cousins and Evans. The pace was fast (31 fast break points combined) and the game was sloppy (31 turnovers).
#5 $206/$200
Blazers +1 @ Kings
-$206...Thought this line was an early Christmas present. Although on the 2nd game of a b2b, Portland riding a 4-game winning streak, 2 of those wins coming against the Spurs and the Nuggets. Kings are one of the worst teams in the NBA and they were missing there 2 best players, Cousins and Evans. Guess I gotta start backing teams when they are missing their top players, the reserves have been stepping up A LOT in that spot this year and crushing me. Didn't help Kings shooting 57% from the floor, including 47% from 3-point range.
-$220...I had a good feeling this was going to be a close game, so I thought getting 3 points here was great value. Thunder had it to a 1 point game with a minute left, unfortunately a few shots didn't fall, Heat didn't miss a FT the entire game (19/19), and Westbrook's tantrum at the end cost us any shot we had left.
#7 $200/$206 2-Team Teaser (4.5 points/ties reduce)
Thunder +7.5 @ Heat
Nuggets @ Clippers -2
+$206...Thunder had a great chance to win this game at the end, so getting +7.5 was never much in question. As for the Clip-Show, they look incredible. Nuggets went on a run at the end to close it to 10, but it was a blowout most of the game. I don't think Griffin played the 4th quarter. The addition of Jamal Crawford has really turned their offense into a juggernaut and I will continue to ride the run they are on.
*Pacers/Bulls game was cancelled due to weather, so that cancels play #8, the 2-team teaser. I am putting in the same bet, but with Minnesota instead of the Pacers*
Since I'll be betting on the bowl games, I'll post my picks for record keeping purposes.
