Lakers and Kobe dont even make the play offs without both Gasol and Bynum there let alone win the whole thing. You all saw what Kobe could do on his own for a couple years, thats why Lakers got Bynum in the first place. Youre also now seeing what happens when he doesnt have guys around him playing all start caliber ball.

Like I said he will always get points because he will take a hundred shots a game if he has to. But it isnt helping them win.

I predicted it. I said once they start to collapse you'll see Kobe start jacking 40 shots a night, and it has happened, a lot earlier than I thought it would. But thats Kobe he will get his and pad his stats even if the team sucks. he is a quitter, at least in terms of team accomplishments or potential. If they happen to benefit from him doing his own thing sobeit, but he has never once in his whole career done anything unselfish to make a team he was on better.

If he really loved the Lakers he would leave so they would have enough money to build a team that could compete. But (here is another prediction) he will not only not leave he will try and hold them hostage next year for some stupid amount of money for an extension. I suspect he will get a 'retire as a Laker' package that will probably be 3 years with an option and close to 80 million (for 4 year option) because that is how smart the people running the Lakers are right now.

Agree with that last part. Kobe gets alot more credit than he should because people see his PPG and his career totals, youngest to 30,000 etc and want to use that to put him top 5 all time while ignoring how horribly inefficient he's been throughout his career. Scoring 30 a game on low 40% shooting and 30% from 3 isnt close to Jordan, Magic and Lebron and Durant.

Laker fans even say he's better than Shaq, Magic and Kareem.

Normally id disagree with kobe bashers but the blind love because of "5 rings broooo!!!" while ignoring the other obvious differences between him and the Greats of the 90s and today is out of control. He's a top 15 player but i dont see how theres any way to suggest he's close to top 5. His clutch numbers are horrid too, not sure how he got that reputation, and they get even worse in the post season.
