I'm no Kobe fan, but speaking objectively. It's easy to say you would fight a case if you're innocent or that you would never plea bargain if you were innocent if you're not the one in the hot seat. When you're looking at years or decades of your life being decided by other people who could easily see evidence or statements one way or another you would be surprised how many people will plea bargain or settle rather than leave it up to chance. So that's not a fair way to judge a person on a case because he settled.

I am in a semi unique position. I fought every charge I was innocent off, except the one I had to plead guilty to to avoid getting sentenced even longer for something I did do. Not too mention it is nearly impossible to prove rape beyond a reasonable doubt, let alone with a victim like this.
Ancient history either way, but if he did it once and got caught you can be damned sure there are many many many other instances where he did it and didnt. Just so funny how so many people defend this guy who hasnt shown anything positive other than the ability to put a ball through a hoop.

Its actually not the beginning of the season anymore. That keeps being used as an excuse but it can't be anymore. We're past the 1/4 way mark. Definitive playoff contenders are sitting at 16-18 wins vs 3-6 losses. Lakers fans have used one excuse after another since preseason. When they were all playing it was because they needed time to gel. Brown was a shitty coach. Nash is out. Then Pau is out. When they're both back it will be the geling excuse again. Then it will be D'Antoni.
It's all justified by who the Lakers were and the playoffs and finals they've won in the past. Well we're in the present. The past doesn't mean shit now and the past won't win a ring in the present. If the Bobcats were imminent for finals champion how much would the excuse "well they had the worst record in NBA history" or "well we've won 15 championships" be worth. Absolutely nothing. They'd be excuses to justify where a team is lacking in the present.
