Degen the line value is a result of a combination of the actual line and sportrends toer #'s (not displayed). They are then combined to create the line value. if the line value is > than +5 the play is on the home team if the line value is < than -5 the play is on the away team. Notice all three plays you have meet this criteria. another to pay attention to is Utah. Right now sportrends has Utah's line at -2 and the line value is 4.7 for Utah at that line (remember negative # denotes an away play). If the line moves to Utah -1.5, Utah's line value moves the same amount to 5.2. Since the line value is now -5.2, there would be a play on Utah. Hope this helps. Originally Posted by Degenregen

That Utah line did move to -1 so they are a TOER play along with all the others you listed.

Makes sense. So as an example the line value for the Cleveland @ Miami game is 3.3, so that denotes that the home team is favored by 3 points (But a NP with the overlay.) But if the line which is at -14.5 were to drop to -12.5 it would be a play, right?
