Mint State 70 wager: Los Angeles Clippers -1
at Portland Trailblazers.
Points to Consider:
1. Clips are forcing 18.8 TO's per game (2nd)
2. Clips are avg 104.6 PPG (4th)
3. On the rebound after last night's considerable defensive
effort, led by emphasis of Chris Paul, forcing 20 TO's by Spurs
and holding them to 41.1% SP. Outrebounded them 46-29.
4. Game was on cruise control in the 4th quarter, after 3 Q's
the Clips led by 20 pts - you want to see this because they are
playing b2b and you don't want them having to fight tooth-n-nail to
the buzzer, which could lead to b2b fatigue.
5. Blazers road trip revealed serious problems competing with
top echelon teams - they lost by 14 at OKC and by 23 @ Mavs.
6. Blazers previously fierce home stands are a trademark, but
not yet tested in 2012. The Mavs held them to 38.7% SP Monday.
The Blazers of 2012 could be very thin on
the bench, they are league-worst thus far avg. only 12.8 PPG.
