I really didn't want to start another thread on Chris Anderson, but thought it only fair. Many people jumped to conclusions here and threw the dude under the bus. Horrible accusations were made with no foundation. I suspected when Coach Karl stood behind him, that he knew more than he could release.

This is simply a statement from his attorney. I have no idea what the full story is on this and will wait to judge till all the facts come out. If the following is true, I wish the guy luck.

Chris Andersen - F/C - Nuggets

Chris Andersen's attorney, Colin Bresee, has stated that the player known as "Birdman," has been targeted as part of an extortion plot by a female fan who was rebuffed by Andersen in 2011.

Bresee released the following statement, "A female fan in 2010 mailed Mr. Andersen multiple letters and included several photos in which she was scantily clad. Chris and this woman communicated with each other and in 2011, this woman, who represented herself as 21 years of age, flew to Colorado, showing her required identification. After leaving Colorado, she became upset at his lack of interest. In 2012, she threatened to retaliate if he did not provide financial remuneration." This helps to explain the recent disturbing child pornography charges brought against Andersen and although the case is still ongoing, it shows a little more into what is going on in the case.

i hope this other side is true because the Bird Man seems like a pretty good dude. came back from drug problems and does a lot of charity work.

Noticed the same thing when I watched Karl being asked about the subject on NBA-TV. Really made me stop and think. The Duke Lax team immediately came to mind. These pros make a lot of money. Love/Hate relationship with fans and some actually derive pleasure seeing them go down?

For the individual that looks a little deeper, you might see a trend here. Jordan Hill come to mind? Both cases are possible extortion attempts. What better time to apply pressure and make demands than the playoffs? Of course, media didn't have a agenda here. They only seek the truth, no agenda, bias. Strange also that all the sudden Eva wants to talk about ex Tony Parker and his cheating ways. Must just be a coincidence. She probably welcomes closure and a little press never hurts with her show ending.

I also. Not a big fan of the guy, but watched Anderson on the series Ink Master. He was a guest judge and seemed like a solid dude. Perfect part for the guy and he had more than a basic knowledge on the subject. Came away impressed and he sure acted a lot different than a lot of the media portray him. I know he's had some issues in his past, but seems to be getting his act together.

How does that story have anything to do with child porn? I have also heard that he has been under investigation since February. So he's been under investigation for like 3 months or so and thy got a warrant and seized computers and shit. Not looking good for him.
