Whose idea was it for the Lakers to hire Mike Brown?

    This guy is a disaster.

i heard some rumor that calipari was being targeted by the lakeshow, which i think is probably false, but boy would he crash and burn there. with the egos involved in today's game you have to be the zen master, greg poppovich, or get a bunch of old guys who have no choice but to play together to win the ring they so desperately desire in order to have a prayer to win the title it seems.

Kobe's ego is so big and Bynum is such an idiot no coach can do anything except P. Jackson

Jim Buss. He wants to be gm. He is the next jerry jones type owner who thinks he should make personnel decisions. He will ruin the lakers. Nepotism at its finest.

Seriously, somebody please name someonethat is available tht could actually replace Phil Jackson.. PJ reigned Kobe in early when he was young. Right now you jave an all star just like Dwight who feels like he knows it all without a PJ to reign him in like before. Kobe is the guy who the team looks to. Right now no one can tell hin what to do, not even Brown. Plus Kobe's not the Kobe of days past, he's not the dominant figure he was. They need a Popavich type coach that Kobe can respect and will listen to to be the leader of his team. Without Kobe they're waving in the wind (and I hate giving Kobe all this credit but it's true), and without a coach Kobe can respect like PJ then what can you expect.

He was a bad coach in Cleveland, was a bad coach before the year started, and is still a bad coach. He very well may have the worst in-game adjustments out of any coach in the NBA...

Who would you rather have? David Blatt? Adrian Dantley? I hear Isaiah Thomas is available? Gonna call Jerry Sloan? There aren't a lot of great head coaches in the game today. Silas, Byron Scott, Lawerence Frank, Mark Jackson, Kevin McHale, Del Negro, Hollins, Smart, Casey, Corbin, Wittman. At least Brown is over .500.

Id take Sloan (even though he probably wouldnt agree), Silas, Scott, Jackson, McHale, Shaw and a few other assistants over him in a heartbeat.

Lebron single-handedly won most of those games for him to inflate his worth. Then whenever a game came down to the wire we were relegated to LeIso and a "GOLLY, he sure had some balls to take that 35 footer" whether he made it or not. His record will continue to be inflated due to walking into a team with Kobe-Bynum-Gasol.

Dick Lebeau was never a great NFL Head Coach but that Steeler D has been pretty solid over the years since he took over. Just saying...

Rick Adelman is way too underrated. No mention of this guy, and he is one of the best. Also there are a couple of guys. George Karl is a wonderful players coach.

Bynum probably didn't deserve that second tech. On his way out- he was probably scratching his head like. Kobe does this shit every other game and he doesn't get ejected. Bynum is putting up superstar numbers just not getting the superstar treatment he is the 2nd best center in the league bitches =p.

You can't replace filet mignon (Phil Jackson) with a Big Mac (Mike Brown).

Given the fact that it was a shortened season and there was
not time to implement a "whole" new system Brian Shaw was the
obvious choice. He would not have alienated Kobe and Bynum and
the entire team knew the system. It was a very poor decision to bring in
a new coach and a new system without practice time to implement.

From what I've seen of your betting pattern, Mr NoCoin, the rockets should have been your 2nd biggest play behind Pacers last night.

Mr Lakerboy must carry some weight to have you on the big public favorite with the line shrinking

Phil knew the right time to get out. Things didn't look
that good last year, during the Mav's series and to say he
had Kobe and Bynum under control is an overstatement.

When he coached the Cavs it was a disaster watching him.

Everyone here in Ohio was laughing their asses off when the Lakers hired him just FYI

    the guy sucks

remember his inability to beat the Magic in the playoffs when he was coaching the Cavs, its because his in game adjustments are the WORST.

Here's the thing though: Mike Brown doesn't really have a system. If he does id love to hear it because I watched it for several years in Cleveland and could never really wrap my head around it...

So why do the same 40 guys get the same 30 jobs? Why doesn't someone bring in Europe's most successful coach (David Blatt)? Hell, why doesn't anyone run the triangle offense anywhere?
