clippers is still clippers. davis throws to many bricks. rose will have a hard time covering him and with the weak interior of bulls which wont matter..... the problem is will davis feel like driving to the rim.

bulls, rose and hughes shot the ball horribly last night. but hughes, deng and nocioni played sparringly so dont expect that they wont be able to run down the court with the clips. this is not the old and ageless spurs. bulls are a young team which doesnt know how to close games and defend wisely.

wont touch this pick cause this are two teams which play inconsistent.

like cavs fans, will ride this pick. still waiting for the boston line. Expect best actor pierce to play not coz he is a warrior but due to a phantom injury.

Hey everyone .. new to the board, but hope i have something to contribute ..

    Mavericks -2
Josh Howard got some PT on Monday and is looking like he's returning to form. He might even start, which could give the Mavericks a nice scoring punch. The Raptors have nothing on the perimeter to stop Howard if he's playing well and I think Nowitzki can take Bosh out of his comfort zone.

    Clippers +4.5
As noted earlier, Clips have a short flight from OKC and are feeling good after three in a row. Bulls have a long flight after overtime and should be feeling pretty dejected after losing that one, especially since they held a lead. If I trusted Del Negro's ability to motivate, I'd take the Bulls, but I don't.

    Nets +3
Jazz are likely to be without Boozer and Kirilenko is a game-time decision. I love how tough the Jazz play, but Deron Williams is still working his way back and Devin Harris is fire. They'll cancel each other out .. hopefully Vince can take it from there.

    Sixers -4.5
Team has had some time to work under DiLeo and I don't think they've got a much stronger inside game than the Bucks, who should be getting fatigued .. expect Dalembert to hopefully neutralize Bogut

    Pacers/Warriors Under 229
No TJ ford, probably, and Dunleavy is out until january .. this line is being pushed by the Warriors' small ball lineup (starters are a hurt Stephen Jackson, two undrafted guys in Watson and Morrow, Biedrins, and Jamal Crawford), but i think we'll see a 110-105 type score .. this is close, though

    Cleveland -10.5
Closest thing to a lock there is tonight .. after last night, I need this one.

Since I'm a small-time better, I do parlays .. as of now, I'm thinking Clippers, Cavs, Mavericks on one and the Warriors/Pacers under 229, Nets, Sixers on the other. But I'll check in later today to see what you guys are playing!

regardless of the size of your bets, parlays are considered by sportsbooks sucker bets and they love people who parlay. if your gonna parlay keep it to 2-3 games but better than that, just play em all str8.

On another note, I'm seeing pierce and house as probable... eitherway the question should help us get a better line

    danrman,

You can't be serious. The word rooster has different meanings in different communities. In Oakland it refers to the female genitalia "cocked" back for penetration. Get yourself a copy of 415 featuring Richie Rich and you will hear the word used in a different light than you probably use it in your circles. But to answer your question, yes I am a Black Male 41 years old with 3 kids and a wife 13 years younger than me

    indeed,

If you must parlay do it for pennies on the dollar, and you might as well throw 5 or 6 teams on it. The rate of success is less than 12% on anything over a three team parlay. The best way to hit one is to take three teams and guess or do the homework for the totals on each. Good luck, but don't do them for anything over $25.00

Okay boys and girls and shoe throwers, Here's my spin on the Spurs and Hornets game tonight

I don't think that the Hornets is the play tonight, but that's just my spin. They aren't as deep this year for whatever reason, and Mo Pete is not getting the minutes he should be getting with James Posey on the team. I also think that the back to back situation is not being taken into account by prospective bettors. I do however think that the Hornets will take the 1st half with the carry over effect working in their favor. But make no mistake about it, with the addition of Roger Mason Jr., the Spurs are a little more deeper than the Hornets this year, who did very little to upgrade their team over the off season. The Hornets need to give their bench players a little more time on the floor for the hard times. I absolutely can't stand Hilton Armstrong. He is a plus/minus nightmare. It seems that everytime he comes into the game it's at least one or more turnovers, one or two missed freethrows, and one or more stupid fouls. It is simply amazing the amount of times he comes into the game and the Hornets lose part of the lead that they have built up. Everytime he comes into the game, I find myself saying, "Oh no, here we go again..." Tyson Chandler's free throw shooting is suspect at best, and Peja As good as he is disappears for segments of games, and is not consistant.

With the Spurs, win or lose, if they are fully loaded, you already know what you're gonna get, and that's word.

    Throw those shoes!

pacers -6.5 *-6 in some places already! prolly bcoz of tj ford being out(?)

pacers love coming back home. they normally play good. teams that they beat at this situation are the celtics, nets and hawks. losses came on 2 overtimes (bobcats & celtics) and a 2 pt loss to 76ers. to sum that up, it's either a big win (against good teams) or a close-game loss. with that said, im already liking them at this spot against these stumbling warriors. add the after effect of that beat down they did to wizards on the road and SU win by pacers is as solid as it can get. with pacers 5-4 home ats and gsw 5-9 away ats, also pacers being the scrappier of the two... u have ur reason on taking chances on them to win ATS. the only way i see gsw covering is if they get 20+ pts from s.jackson (which he hasnt done in recent games as he is actually playing through pain), other than that, pacers will have their way as every team does with these backboneless warriors.

but not to belittle (so much the gsw) here's an angle for gsw backers. gsw will give it their 'bestest' effort to get a win in indiana. it's their 1st of 5 road games (within 7 days). so really the next four is just gonna get tougher for them. so yeah, they'll gonna bring their A game but without maggette and not a 100% s.jackson, they'll falter in the end. but if it gets close, hopefully the 84.3ft% (last 5 games) will pull indiana to get the cover.

just my 2 cents. bol to all!

    Welcome to the board, Indeed.

Me personally, I don't like the Sixers, Nets, or Clippers, but I do like the Mavs -2, Jazz -2, and Cavs -9.

However, there are a lot of people who like your picks.

How could you not like the line movement I just shaved two points by getting in early. This means that im beating the market when the books close. If I can beat the market price everytime my winning percentages increase. I always look to beat the books close everyday

Can't believe nobody has mentioned the total for NJ/UT 199.5 save for the last two meetings between these two the total hasn't been set above 191.5. I have to look a bit deeper but at first take that under is looking like a good bet. Also, I read yesterday that Boozer was able to practice on Monday and the Sloan was looking into giving some playing time tonight depending on how he looked during pregame warmups/shoot around..

    Thoughts?

Yeah, I'm curious to see the Pistons' 1Q. I'm thinking -2.5 or -3. I'm all over that if that's the case.

Regarding the Clippers, I don't know... I just don't feel it all of a sudden. I agree with your statement and @ +6 you and CK should be good to go, but I'm backing off this one for today will be in support mode for you guys.

    Bronco,
Looks like a no go for me was gonna pull the trigger on the hawks. Not at +3.5 though was hoping for +6 guess we will have to wait and see what kind of movement were gonna get.

Smells like a trap big time. Even wih Pierce questionable dont know that I agree with that line.

What's the source for this information? According to the Salt Lake Tribune, Boozer is doubtful to play in tonight's game against the Nets even though he took part in the majority of practice on Monday and yesterday.

Thought it was Monday's SLC tribune.. It was before the Boston game.. It seems completely irrelevant though as Sloan was quoted in today's tribune that he is Doubtful tonight..

with the cavs having not lost to the twolves since 05 cavs -10 is basically a gift with the cavs having time to rest and not having to travel very far this will be a blow out

the CAvs outscore oppenents by 7.4 away
the twolves get ouscored by 7.5 at home

and in the last 5 games the cavs have been outscoring opponents by 11.8 and the twolves have been getting outscored by a total of 10.6 so with a line of -10 i'm taking the cavs heavy

Perhaps someone can explain this to me since I don't cap over/unders often. I can't understand why the O/U is 229 in the Indiana/GSW game. Indiana has 5 injuries (T.J. and Troy are out) and GSW has 2 injuries (Maggette is out). Why should we not hammer the under in this game?
