Why did Spoelstra deactivated Ilgauskas and Erick Dampier???

We all know that they are bums but they could still help rebounding the ball which the Heat currently sucks right now. I'm still surprised by this move..

I don't think they could keep up with the much more athletic bulls centers. Haslem was big tonight

Dampier is probably the worse player in the NBA and it was a good move by spoelstra, the guy is really miserable.

I agree that it was a very good call. Especially Dampier. The guy is way too slow and doesn't play smart. It's no wonder no team wanted to sign him before Heat picked him up out of desperation. Ilgauskas is not as bad but still too slow.

Just like dallas. Usually we see JJ B in the 4th as the clean up crew but we see him hanging tough with minutes in the 3rd and throughout. The guy has 20+ so why not let the guy play for a win?

Sticking with the winning formula for the win. Why change when it is not broken? Smart move for a win.

I say changes are good because a person match up well with another person if given a chance.

You don't want to have the winning formula to stopping zbo with collison in game 7 now do you? YOu want to have it in game 2 after a bad beat in game 1.

I think the heat is onto something here. They just figured out a mismatch so of speak and lets see if Chicago has an answer for that. It's a cat and mouse game. If I were a coach, I changes things every time my team is down by a few and I call a timeout. Early changes are better than losing then realizing about such changes.

That's a great question. I do not understand the move either. The guys playing for them are terrible!

i don't know why they don't plug Eddie House in there
he brings a legitimate outside shooting threat.

i guess it's up to Spoelstra. Remember, Spoelstra is a horrible
coach who I don't think even belongs in the NBA.
Just about any Div I NCAA coach could have the same level of success
    with the Heat roster.

Matchup problems, spacing, and also athleticism. Damp and Z just don't have it, except maybe Z's ability to shoot the J.
