    Hamlin said after the race if it wasn't the shootout he would have held his line and probably wrecked Newman going for the win.

    Another small example of how Denny lacks the kahunas to ever be champion imho.

    He did the right thing, why chance wrecking a good car in a non points race. This could be his backup car for the 500 or they might have other plans down the road for it and tearing it up in a pretty much meaningless race is a smart move I think.

    Oh yeah, I agree it was sensible.

    I don't think either of his team mates would have automatically driven that way though. And I think both of them are more likely to win a championship.
