    TEXAS--5mike5

Alright guys were off to TEXAS motorspeedway for the 8th race for the Championship this weekend...All 3 nascar top series will be in action this weekend, and all at Texas...the truck and nationwide series will both be night races on friday and saturday night, with the CUP race again on Sunday afternoon....

As always i appreciate all the regulars who post information and leans every week, ive had a once in a lifetime season and couldnt have done it without the 5 or 6 regulars help every week....as always ill be studying my driver notebooks from Texas and watching the last few years of races before i make any decisions on who i will be taking this week...

Texas motorspeedway is a 1.5 mile quad-oval...the banking in all the turns is 24 degrees, while the straights banking is just 5 degress...the frontstretch measures out at 2,250 feet long, with the back just 1,330 feet...there have been 7 different winners in the last 8 races held at texas, with denny hamlin being the only repeat winner in the last 4 years

GOODLUCK this week and lets keep killing the books like we do about every week this season!

More changes for Opti's boy Ambrose:

Silly Season is in full swing for Sprint Cup crew chiefs. Drew Blickensderfer resigned as Jeff Burton's crew chief on Sunday. Blickensderfer, 36, will return to the Ford camp as the crew chief for Marcos Ambrose and the #9 team at Richard Petty Motorsports. Given Blickensderfer's nine-year tenure at Roush Fenway Racing, he will be a valuable conduit for RPM with its technical partner. "Blick" replaces Mike Ford, who joined RPM at Talladega Superspeedway in May as Aric Almirola's crew chief. Before the Chase for the Sprint Cup began, Ford, 42, swapped teams with veteran crew chief Todd Parrott and began leading the #9 crew with Ambrose. Ford said on Sunday at Martinsville Speedway that he worked this season sans contract with RPM but had "options" for 2013 including working with BK Racing. Sources confirmed that Ford has been offered a crew chief's post at BKR. Luke Lambert will revive his role with Burton and the #31 Caterpillar crew at Richard Childress Racing starting in 2013. Shane Wilson will be interim crew chief for the final three races of the season

so u know this big storm is coming inland starting today in eastern U.S....i went to the store this morning, and as u know i live east tennessee.....people were buying batteries, flashlights, milk, ect....keep in mind all we will see is some rain for a few days from this big storm, nothing major at all...same thing if we are suppose to get a huge 1 inch of snow, or even a damn flurry in the winter

why do people freak out like this???

just never understood it...im from WV and we get alot more weather there than TN, and i never recall this much panic when we got 12 inches of snow

I guess another change can't make him go worse.

Definitely did not communicate well with Parrot. Been hard to tell with Ford. Kind of subdued on the radio in comparison to Parrot/Ambrose. But obviously the results have been awful, and improved sharply for the #43 since Parrot went over there. So I would not rule out part of the issue is Marcos.

With Parrot he sounded miffed quite often when Parrot would come on the radio asking for suggestions of changes to make from Marcos. (which he did all the time, and often sounded like he was just going to take a guess and change something to see what would happen)

Get feeling Marcos wants a strong CC who will take control and make pit decisions with confidence so all Marcos has to think about is giving feedback and driving.

Ryan Newman in the #30 Turner NW car this week.

Should be right in it in that car I'm thinking as first thought.

Denny in #18 and Harvick in RCR car should mean Newman is nice odds too.

I didn't really think about Ryan's personal record when saying that actually.

Just thinking a Cup driver in a Turner car on a 1.5 mile track is a winning recipe.

It is Ryan's 3rd worst track in Cup

I've heard them taking him up a few times. Him and young Blaney are getting sweet rides to start their careers!

Jeb Burton another next genner who appears to have Dad's talent as well.

Kenseth, Hamlin, Jimmie, Biffle and Stewart.

Can't bet all 5. Need to narrow to 3. Maybe 4.

i agree about 3 if u take the top 2 favs of jimmie/hamlin, hard to bet 4 taking the 2 favs but depends on prices i guess

and especially depends on amount of risk u take overall
