Palace Episode will line up in the Grade Two Kelso Handicap over a mile on turf at Belmont, USA, on Saturday, September 29.

The four-year-old colt was a ready winner on his last start in an extended mile allowance optional claimer on turf at Saratoga on August 15, winning comfortably by a length and three quarters from Stream Of Gold.

Saeed bin Suroor is happy with the horse's build up to the race.

The Godolphin trainer said: "Palace Episode is doing great and the horse is in good form. He's working well, and so far everything has gone 100% in preparation for the Belmont contest.

"It's a tough race for him, but the horse has the class to win."

Palace Episode raced in England for his first two seasons, where he won three races as a juvenile. His victories in 2005 included the Listed Acomb Stakes at York and the Group One Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster. The colt only raced once as a three-year-old, finishing down the field in the Group Two Dante Stakes at York.

Among Palace Episode's 10 rivals on Sunday is dual Grade One winner After Market, who has triumphed in the Charles Whittingham Handicap at Hollywood Park and the Eddie Read Handicap at Del Mar in 2007.
