Second Race. Two favorites look the best in a Captain Obvious lineup. Horses weights are interesting her . The 3 weights 1342, the 4- 1234. Both are coming off layoffs. Old school theory is anything over 1200 is a yellow flag. With the four draw outside the three I'm just betting the 4 to win and move to turn the page.

Third Race. THE EDDIE LOGAN. Small play on the two Commander Khai. Inside speed, recent price. On a side note I've only had one shoe shine in my entire life. Mr. Eddie Logan convinced me that I had to do it at least once back in the 70's. Here's to you Sir.

Fifth Race. My choice is the 4 Armour Plate who may have a pace advantage with Blinkers on today. The favorite received mixed reviews from the early bird handicappers but is getting bet #2. The 5 is my third choice. Playing to win with the 4. Lost the super in the four race but I'm not beating myself up. First time starter on the rail can be very shaky in the long term.

Race 6. The trainer of the 2 Octopus was reported to get married today. That's enough to earn a win bet. Stuck $35 going in.

Race 7. One of my favorite angles at Hollywood Park was inside posts when they first installed the turf sprint chute. In a head scratcher i"m betting $2 on the #1 & #2. Stuck $20 going in.

Race 8 LIke #10 Big Story because of the experience and post. The newcomers may be better stock but I'm willing to take a chance for the 10 to toe rope this field. Win bet on #10. Starting a Pick 3 also.

Race 9 The Robert J. Frankel Grade 111. Johnny V. has the one to beat here imho. #10 Mucho Unusual is my top Choice. #4 Miss Teheran deserves a serious look and #3 Never Be Enough likes to win and could surprise at a price. Playing Doubles Here to the 8 in the finale.

Race 10.#8 Impression was my best bet and get out play at noontime. However I caught the exacta in the 9th and have a double working. Up $80 going in. May play some tri's keying in 8. Can lose on the day. Its a good feeling.
Next stop Beat the Host contest next Saturday.
