Rages to Riches was declared fit to resume training yesterday after missing two schedule workouts.
After fear that they may be something wrong after the filly had suffered a fever, as a precaution, Rage to Riches spent the last week undergoing several tests and spent 2 days at the University of Pennsylvania's New Bolton Center.
"Dr. Thorpe didn't feel like he saw anything on any of the tests that would indicate any problems with her going back to training," Trainer Todd Pletcher said. "We did a complete physical and everything checked out."
Rages to Riches made history this year, as she became only the 22nd filly to run in the Belmont Stakes and only the third to win it. The filly also took home the victory in this year's Kentucky Oaks. Rages to Riches is next scheduled to start in the grade one, Alabama Stakes at Saratoga Aug. 18, however Pletcher said for now "She'll resume training and we'll go from there."
