    Your top BC 2019 plays

Breeder's Cup week is here! PPs are drawn tomorrow. When you see them, let's talk about our top 2-3 plays for the weekend. I'll be there on Friday and Saturday, as I said on the other thread, in case anyone is around and wants a Bloody Mary and a cigar after I hit the pick 5

    See you boys soon

    Some interesting post postion draws....
Also few races including the classic with interesting pace situations...looks like quite few "jock" races this year

Hmm, briefly look at the Classic, I really like Mike Smith on Yoshida, ML is 8-1; very tempting....

he may be a bit closer to pace and definitely outclasses many here...Tricky race with a few with no chance Yoshida has much appeal here I agree

RACE 5 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint (Grade II) POST TIME - 1:12 PM

I think #9 Four Star Dave (3/1) is your most likely winner and my top choice. If you like #7 Kimari (7/2) , you have to basically use #1 Chimney Rock (10/1) unless you fear the rail for a closing sprinter. #2 Band Practice (12/1), & #10 A'Ali (6/1) are the primed to run big on the euro side and must include on vertical wagers.

Currently Im using 2,7,9,10 in the Horizontals and considering keying the 9 w/ 2,7,10 w/ 1,2,7,10 in a tri

RACE 6 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Presented by Coolmore America (Grade I) POST TIME - 1:52 PM

I think you have to decide if you believe in #12 Arizona (5/2) , or not. Im in that camp for sure as Zona has been running against maybe the best turf horse in the world last 2. Im not in the #2 Structor (5/1) Camp , but I wasn't on board in the pilgrim either, so I may just be stubborn here. So after going through and thinking I was gonna single Arizona, I changed my mind because my horizontal ticket isn't going to be expensive and I could potentially single twice in the following 3 races. The 2 I think have the best chance at the upset is #4 Decorated Invader (4/1). Decorated Invader just keeps getting better and now gets the drugs for the first time while coming in fresh, expect a huge effort. #5 Vitalogy (10/1) I liked both performances in the WO G1 Summer and I realize Vitalogy Just missed vs #3 Peace Achieve (10/1), but I've noted the 14 Post position.

I think the 4 and 12 are most likely winners.

RACE 7 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (Grade I) POST TIME - 2:32 PM

Im a huge fan on #7 Wicked Whisper (7/2) in this race and everything tells me to single here. #4 British Idiom (7/2) proved me wrong in a big way, so I may use as a back up here. Im not in the #1 Donna Veloce (3/1) camp.

RACE 8 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (Grade I) POST TIME - 3:12 PM

Here's the race that I think will blow up the horiztonal tickets as I see it rather form full up to this point. Must use #3 Shadn (10-1) , #5 Daahyeh (5-1), #7 Cyrstalle (8-1) #11 Sharing (12-1), #13 Selfishlessly (8/1).

RACE 9 TVG Breeders' Cup Juvenile (Grade I) POST TIME - 4:03 PM

All about #1 Dennis Moment (8/5) here, I thought the horse that ran second to him last out #5 Scabbard (8/1) was very game and could complete this exacta at a price, excluding eight rings.

    Some early thoughts

Yes, I agree with kona; I think he will be closer to the pace than he has done this year. Early in his career, he showed that he has tactical speed, albeit it was on turf. This is also interesting that Mott will put in in the Classic. Yoshida has 5 career wins in 17 starts; 4 on turf and 1 on dirt. His record on dirt is much worse than on turf. Yet, Bill Mott opted to run him here. I think Smith will get him in position earlier than Rosario or Ortiz, J had done this year. I don't think the pace is super quick and Smith knows where to place him to get a crack at the pace setters. Will look at it more later.

consistent as they come middle distance on the dirt.. if you excuse him for dubai and maybe being a little tired from the trip in his first start back (12 post also) he really gives it a go every time.. probably not going to switch from "code of honor" even though he did draw the outside post

Anyone think Arizona is a single today in the Juv. Turf? What about Dennis and Eight Rings, anyone else winning the Juvenile but these two?

I have one late pick 5 worked up that’s less than $100, and another where I potentially spend about $1250 with at least 4 horses in each race, and 6 or 7 horses in the Juv. Turf.

My only fear with loading up for the potential big pick 5 score is Arizona and Dennis win and I lose significant $$ on the ticket even if it hits.

I’m usually more of a win better each race but obv with the kind of $$ in BC pools sometimes it’s worth spreading out for potential home run. Just really going back and forth on whether or not to spend big $$ spreading out in each race in Friday late pick 5.

    Any feedback would be appreciated.

Ive watched him in UK and he looks very solid and I am a huge fan of the No Nay Never Sire who is producing monster 2 year olds....
The Betfar exchange has him solid fav at 3.4 with the 2 oriz brother mounts next @ 5.5 and 7.4 odds Hit the road is getting small action @ 14.0 but seems like a 3 horse race and Arizona looks strong but post advantage 2 the other 2

Thanks Kona, always appreciate your insight. I just watched the Arizona race where he finished second to that super horse in the UK last out and it was impressive.
