What is the best offshore racebook you guys use?

I'm looking for a new shop to play horses at and would love fellow horseplayers opinions.

I was just booted from 5Dimes (which I thought was the best), so kindly exclude them.

I also already have Twinspires and TVG but I like to play exotics offshore for obvious reasons.

Don't that have caps on wins, though, Laz?

    That would interest me.

It is insane that you can lose a lot of exotics or multi-race wagers, then finally hit, and not only did they take the 20+% on the bet originally, they also tax you another (20-35%) on the win at income. That's insane.

If that's the case, why don't you pay me when I lose? I can't stand these (gov't) guys. Their initial take is obnoxious then they have the gall to call the rest "income".

    You're right Stack...unreal.

Here in the US any exotic win over 300/1 gets reported to the IRS.....it's an absolute joke. Say you play a pick 6 that costs 1000$ and all it pays is 650$ you have to report it....even though you lost money! Anything exotic you hit you over 5000$ is automatically scalped by 25%.

That's why 5dimes was great because they don't cap MAJOR tracks.

I had my racebook taken away "because you know more than we'd like someone to know about horse racing". First time I've ever been limited or outright kicked out for winning. But that's their right and it was handled professionally by Becky (manager at 5dimes). I respect that.

So they still allow you to bet sports with them just not horses ?

I think 5 Dimes has an excellent racebook and since I live in Nevada I cannot use Twinspires, TVG,or ANY US-based
racebooks because the casinos have a monopoly on everything in NV and opening an account is blocked.

They absolutely still let me bet sports....both racebooks have been taken away. I agree DRB...their racebook was the best out there.

    5d: Good afternoon Becky
5d: I was writing in because I logged into my account this morning and noticed the Racebooks has been taken off my menu of betting options
Becky: correct, we are no longer interested in your horseracing business
5d: Can you elaborate a little on why?
5d: I've been with you guys for years
Becky: you seem to know a little bit more than we would like you to know about horses
Becky: so we finally made up our minds that we definitely do not want your horseracing action
5d: I can respect that decision
5d: Thank you for taking the time to explain
    Becky: You're welcome.
5d: Is this final? Would I be able to speak to yourself or Tony at a future date and see about getting it reinstated?
Becky: This is final, decision made by Tony and me, together
Becky: you are welcomed to play the rest of the features you have available in your account

    LOL

I'd love to show this to people who say "You can't beat [sport] XYZ"

    "No, YOU can't beat ___"

Good job Laz. In a certain sense, it's a good problem to have, although annoying.

I agree Stackin. Laz showed what a sharp horseplayer can do ( what we've been told a million times is impossible ! )
5Dimes Racebook has very few Lazi so I too understand their business decision, especially if he's popping them for big scores on a regular basis and they are booking his action 100% with no option to lay off like in football for example.
I think they handled it professionally.

I hear there some pending legislation to pare down these ridiculous taxes on winning tickets that we all hate.
Of course Steven Crist and Andy Beyer has been talking about that for 20+ years and not a budge.
But our government encourages poor, many times black families to spend 20-30-50 dollars on lottery tickets so they can win the 500 million ******* powerball. Then they can take 50% right off the top to fund " education "

Keep up the excellent work and keep the IRS off your back with meticulous record-keeping.
Since you have TwinSpires ( which I think is the best ) and everything is basically done for you with end of the year reports.
I know it's a hassle, but there is nothing worse than wasted talent ( what movie ?)

One suggestion : Bookmaker ( A+ rated book ) may have a liberal enough racebook to give a try ?

They have 8% rebate on all bets and Category A Tracks- MAXIMUM NET PROFIT: $30,000 (Per Race)
May the horse be with both of you.

Mind if i ask what kind of $$$ it took to get blocked for horses?
5 dimes cut me off from 4 team 500$ teasers nfl after only a handful of wins

6 pts no totals...i didnt play any game where one fluke score would beat me thing is why limit me on a nulti team wager when their max single wager is 10x higher

I did get reduced to like $150-200 max on 4 13 pt teaser which were all totals. Didnt do,those, often with what i had to lay and naturally when I added a 5 th game to drop price to -105, that game lost

i switched to betanysports (same interfeace and i think same family as 5d now)but better bonuses and havent had any limit issues yet but its also not fb season yet .

    Bookmakers are scum imo.
Best thing you can do is to throw mug bets back if you have had a good run just to extend the life of your account.
Certainly dont have other accounts open on your browser or a program which advertises bets price on a selection of bookmaker sites.

You will get banned quicker that way.
Don't arb....unless your using multiple devices and probably on a borrowed account.
Some over here suspect bookmakers are in cahoots on people having multiple bookmaker accounts and pass info on to each other....highly illegal but if they can blacklist union affiliated employees.....this is smaller fry to that so you know its sill very possible.

IMO betting needs to change and governments need to be less greedy in their cut.
Lets exchange betting become more prominent so everyone of legal age can bet and wont be barred or restricted.

I like to play the offshores also. Has anyone tried usracing? I see they are offering a $150 bonus but I really haven't heard much about them. Does anyone have an experiences or info about them? Thanks

For my regular horse action, I normally like Twinspires but also have accounts at TVG and Xpressbet. On big days, Youwager/Betpop pay track odds so I give then some action then.
