I don't agree, sorry man lol. The best team in the NHL doesn't lose at home to the Isles even though they're improving and I like the Isles but still a poor result for Detroit. Pens are the best imo

IMO VAN is the best team right now. Both teams are on B2B tonight so thats not an advantage for anyone. Datsyuk being out i think is huge for DET as he is one of their best players. No doubt these are two elite teams in the league but i think VANs going to take this one and is the more solid team.

I think they are without the injuries to Datsyuk, Cleary, and Stuart.

If Vancouver are to lose it will surely be against an elite team like Detroit, however it is just so hard to oppose them the way they are playing right now. Take the Canucks to continue their winning streak on the ML.

    I'm on Detroit.

Datsyuk, Cleary, and Stuart being out hurts no doubt, but Jimmy Howard is due for a huge performance. Zetterburg is on a tear, Lidstrom is still the best defenseman in the game, and Franzen, Holmstrom, Kronwall, ect are capable scorers.

Both teams have scored at will in their meetings this year (Van 6-4, Det 5-4). I can't see Howard giving up 4 tonight.

It's concerning that they barely got by the Oil and the Flames. And the Canucks are unbeatable almost at home 15-3-2

Yeah, I think their ability to fight back is impressive though. Howard hasn't been great lately and had a couple games off. He worked with the coaching staff a ton while Osgood was playing, and looked like he got rid of his rust after the 1st last night. It's not going to be an easy win, but the fact that Detroit is never out of a game is promising.

For anyone not looking to chance it too much, Detroit +1.5 (-175) would be a great pick.

Also, using the past games, (6-4 and 5-4), the over 5.5 (-130) is probably good value too

I have a gut feeling this ends up a low scoring game unlike the first 2 meetings.

6 of the last 7 meetings between the two have had more than 6 goals. That could change, but I'm on the over so I hope not

If the Wings win tonight, I think they earn that distinction. I don't see them beating the Canucks though. Two top unit lines right now with Kesler on fire, and Luongo rested and at the top of his game.

Will be a great game either way!

Vancouver is the best team in the nhl. the only issue here is that its there 4th game in 6 days, they could possibly be worn down. the value is in detroit, but right now the Vancouver Canucks are the best hockey team on the planet

Crosby is out that's how. And FYI, the Islanders beat Pittsburgh within a week or so of the win over Detroit. C'mon now...

Some teams just give others problems, and that's what the Wild do to the Penguins.

    Congrats to all backers!

The over didn't hit, but I still profited big with the Wings ML.

Shoot-outs are exciting, yes. But a ridiculous way to determine an outcome. That's the equivalent of basketball ending a tie game by having a dunking contest or baseball having a home run derby. These are meant to be entertaining exhibitions, not a means of determining winners and losers. Its just ridiculous.
