I will now be posting all of my picks up on this thread. Cashed last night with Columbus on the money line +110 for a 1-0 record. Have another pick tonight on my other thread (2 underdogs with good value) which is Boston +125 on the money line @ Washington. (Analysis for this pick on other thread)
I have one other play on tonight's hockey:
Carolina Hurricanes @ Florida Panthers
Carolina is 1-3 this year after scoring 4 goals or more in their previous game. Florida is 2-0 this year after allowing 4 goals or more. Florida is 5-1 SU and ATS at home vs Carolina the past 3 years. Hurricanes are 2-5 in their last 7 vs. Eastern Conference. Hurricanes are 0-4 in their last 4 after allowing 2 goals or less in their previous game. Hurricanes are 0-4 in their last 4 games following a win. Panthers are 4-1 in their last 5 when their opponent allows 2 goals or less in their previous game. Panthers are 25-11 in their last 36 games as a favorite. Panthers are 24-11 in their last 35 games as a home favorite. Panthers are 17-8 in their last 25 games as a favorite of -110 to -150. Favorite is 22-5 in the last 27 meetings. Home team is 37-14-4 in the last 55 meetings.
Pick: FLA Panthers ML -140

Reason: correction
Columbus are 5-1 SU this year when facing a team with a losing record. They are also 5-1 SU this year in road games when the total is set at 5 1/2. Columbus are 3-0 SU this year in non-conference games.
NY Islanders are 0-9 SU this year after scoring 1 goal or less in their previous game. They are also 0-10 this year after 3 or more consecutive losses.
Columbus are 7-2 SU on the road this year. They have won 4 games in a row heading into tonight's matchup and the NY Islanders have lost 11 games in a row heading into tonight's game.
Washington have lost 3 consecutive games which doesn't happen too often. In situations when this has previously been the case, the Capitals have responded as you would expect going 5-1 SU after 3 consecutive SU losses.
Carolina have been struggling on defense lately allowing 5, 7 & 8 goals in three of their last five games.
The high scoring Capitals are not the team Carolina want to be facing when their defense is being expoited the way it has been in their previous few games.
The Hurricanes are a dissapointing 1-4 SU in their last 5 games.
The Capitals have dominated Southeast opponents going 47-15 SU in their last 62 games while the Hurricanes have lost their last 5 as an underdog.
