    The Toronto Maple Leafs have fired general manager John Ferguson Jr. The team informed Ferguson of his fate earlier this morning. Cliff Fletcher has been made the club's interim general manager. When contacted, Ferguson said he would not be commenting at this time but when asked if he was offered, or considered, the option of staying on in a different capacity, he bluntly told TSN, "no."

    It clearly was about time, however the manner in which they did it was incredibly bush league! Actively searching for a man's replacement without letting Ferguson go is just very low class. But what else would you expect from Richard Peddie and this board of clowns who run this team.

    Yeah Cobra, I'd say the whole thing was handled in a way that is pretty much "par for the course" with this organization...Who would have thought that with the near and semi-near misses of '93 and '94 that we'd be looking back at those days as the Glory Years for our generation.....Pathetic.....
