    #500

Did anyone happen to notice that Martin Brodeur won his 500th game in the NHL tonight.

I still say Patrick Roy was better than Martin Brodeur though.

Being a goaltender myself, i always notice milestones like this when it involves a goalie. Congrats to Brodeur on this great achievment. And although you really couldn't go wrong with either one of them, i personally think that Brodeur was better than Roy, with the deciding factor being his ability to handle the puck. Roy was a hand grenade waiting to go off everytime he touched it, (in fact a Stanley Cup may have been lost to Brodeur's devils with his puckhandling). They changed the rules because of Brodeur's ability to handle the puck (see the triangle behind the net now in place). But as i said, it is pretty much comparing apples and oranges, it just matters what you like the best.
