no, there is no summer hockey league. yes this will be a baseball thread
no, there will be no secret society of emailed picks. yes, you can clog this thread with endless banter/parlay picks/pics/sulky selections/favorite fishing holes etc....
comments such as: "you suck", "your picks suck", "phils suck" are also accepted!
if you need to know im wagering a gazillion dollars to take my picks seriously you've come to the wrong place. most of my parlays are 5 and 10 bucks so you can only imagine the astronomical chingy i lay on single selections

ill post a few selections as well as a parlay or 3 per day. hell, i might even start keeping track....

early leans to kick around before gametime:

red sox rl-davis lost 10-0 in his last outing (vs yanks) and the sox are coming off a beatdown from the twins. look for the sox get back on track at home today.

A's alt rl(-2.5)-really liking this one as a single play and will more than likely play the rl in a few parlays today. O's have lost by no less than 2 runs in their last 5 and i cant see them getting much closer vs oaktown.

also liking the cubs in the early one this afternoon, chi wsox and the twins.

races completely chit the bed. the 6 horse, "four starz horndog" finished 1st in the 8th paying $5.80 to win at odds of 1.9:1. didnt play anything to win last night, just the pick 4. but to recap the pick six quickly: it started off in the 6th with a bombshot taking the win at odds of 64:1. 7th race had a 5.5:1 winner, i already told you about the 8th and the ninth finished with a 4.5:1 winning. total return on a $2 pick 4 ticket last night: 7-1-6-9 $26,008. (I honestly think that last 8 dollars was mine...i swear) mark my words, ill be back for my $8 soon enough meadowlands

the parlay i listed above had a payout of 6.6:1 after the suspension of the red sox game....and its probably a damn good thing as i had taken the rl and was canned in the 9th tied 1-1

also cashed a 14:1 twins rl/a's rl/cubs ml. fairly safe to say i dropped a bomb on the book yesterday despite the flyers loss in a great game i kinda knew they couldnt take 2 in jersey so i went small on the ml... but 6:05pm sunday the ass beating on broad st. begins

royals ml-morrows era of 12+ and kc's romp of the twins today has me thinking royals.
seattle rl-bergesen's era (11.something)is about to get worse. expect a complete fisting of the o's by fister and his mean ass 1.50 era
card ml-i should really be leaning towards the rl in this one with the diamondbacks recent form, however the d-backs play decent behind lopez. simply hoping penny can stimey the struggling snakes. kinda like the under in this one too....
rays ml-i could see tb smacking the sox around again. they've wacked lackey before and it could happen again.

Baltimore blows. I have been making bank fading them -1.5 RL everyday. (They lost 10 of their 13 L by at least two runs!) Thats + money! I think +145 today $$$$. zandyman, i think you made a wise choice. hernandez's 2 wins with a 0.00 era combined with jimenez's 1.29 era and 3 wins, no loses simply screams "pitchers duel" to me.

lil fyi: pop-pop's pitching tonight for the Phils and the braves tend to feast on his 81 mph flame thrower of an arm philly has been struggling to score runs lately and going up against lowe isnt going to help matters. if i wasnt such a Phils fan id probably be all over the alt rl(-2.5)(+210)

im seeing it at +160 at the moment at betphoenix.com and honestly, i like it

sox suck right now and are coming off a 12-0 blanking courtesy of the rays last night. shields beat the redsox last out and peavy lost to the indians. looks like the play is on the rays

-2.5 is sitting at a sweet +250 too. maybe some further investigation on this one is in order before checking out who's trotting at the meadowlands tonight... my bad....read the wrong odds
