    Canada to win olympics

Taking it for 2 units, +132. Too much value to pass, might hedge before final.

Thing is, Canada has home field advantage and they are usually able to put pressure on refs making them hesitant to call penalties when Canada plays dirty. Other teams then fade when their "big guy" goes down to a dirty hit. On top of that Canada has by far the best team.

Canada has an amazing team and are rightfully favored to take it all. especially with home ice and all, but line is slightly too low IMHO. Some home pressure is also possible and Russia has some reallly good talent and they've been playing well as a team past few years.

Think the line for Canada to win it is slightly low too. And I personally don't think Canada has "by far" the best team in the competition, plus they may have a lot of pressure playing at home with all the expectations toward this team in Canada. However I like the idea to hedge before the finale

Bet the units on each of Canada's games individually. You'll always make more money that way. Forgetting the round robin where you might actually get a game or 2 where Canada is -1000 so if you had $100 you would bet it all on every Canada ML.

So let's say in the round robin there's 2 games where you can play Canada ML and not PL. One game has Canada-1000 and the other Canada-2000. You bet $100 on the first and win, so now you have $110. On Canada-2000 you bet $110 and win, so now you have $115.50

In the quarters Canada is at -800, semis-400 and then play Russia in the final and are -125 favs. I'm sure someone can do the math but in the end you'll have more than the betting the $100 on Canada to win Gold at +128

If they would meet Russia in the final, sure that makes sense. Problem is let's say Finland eliminates Russia in qf you will not be seeing anything close to +100 on Canada. You never know with soviet union their defense is often quite poor.

canada will win everything. they are sick of being friendly moose country and will cheat to win, look for canada to win the most medals it's ever won.
