Feb 1 - The Daily Breakdown

    YTD 13-11 +4.95u
    NHL 8-5 (+6.45u)
    NBA 5-5 (+0.70u)
    NFL 0-1 (-2.20u)

Rough night at the office last night with the first reverse sweep of the year...
Blues couldn't get it done as they dominated for the most part of the game and couldn't finish. Raptors almost let the game slip away from them, yet could've covered in OT alone if they didn't miss a few wide open shots.

    Anyway, moving on!

Agendaman, perhaps you were write about the trend you mentioned haha! Looks like we both got smacked around. Let's get it back, yeah?
Boston Bruins vs. Washington Capitals // Feb 1

    Back in action

The Boston Bruins have fought their way though tough times but they face the toughest test of all tonight when they head to Washington to take on the Capitals. The Bruins (26-21-6) are third in the Atlantic Division with 58 points but the Capitals (33-11-6) are the best team in the league with 72 points on the season.

    Dah Bawston Brewins

The Bruins are away from their comforts of TD Gardens and head to the Nation’s capital. But that shouldn’t scare the team. The Bruins actually play better on the road than they do at home and are 14-9-6.

The Bruins have won three in a row, which thankfully snapped an ugly 3-8 streak that had a lot of management in hot water. The Bruins need to keep the game to a low-scoring affair if they want to have a chance. Although they rank 22nd in goals for, they are top-ten in the league for goals against with 2.6 per game.
Unfortunately for them, the Bruins are 2-11 on Back to backs recently.... 2-8 when on the road...

    Leading the Nation

The Capitals returned from the All-Star break with a 3-2 loss against the New York Islanders on Tuesday. Chalk that one up to rust, because this team is a force to be reckoned with and they know it. In their last 27 games they are 20-4-3 and are near the top of the league in all major categories. The Caps are first in goals against as they allow 2.1 goals per game, and are fifth in scoring with 3.2 goals per game.
The Caps should be able to even out their B2B here with a win against Boston. They're 10-2 in their last 12 as home favs against the Bruins.
Braden Holtby continues his All-Star campaign on Wednesday agains the Bruins and has faired well against them in the past. Holtby is 10-2 lifetime against the Bruins with a 1.69 GAA and .948 save percentage.

    The Final Breakdown

The Capitals don't want to come out of the All-Star break starting 0-2, especially at home. I’ll take the best team in the league any night.

Washington Capitals ML in Reg. (+105) 2u
