    Varlamov arrested on domestic violence charges

    Colorado Avalanche goalie Semyon Varlamov turned himself in to Denver police department detectives Wednesday on domestic violence-related charges. Police said he was in Denver County jail.

    Police said Varlamov was arrested on second-degree kidnapping and third-degree assault charges. The assault charge is a Class 4 felony; the kidnapping charge is a misdemeanor.

    The Avalanche said in a statement the team "is aware of the allegations concerning Semyon Varlamov. At this time, and until the conclusion of this investigation, the Avalanche organization will have no further comment on this situation."

    Varlamov, 25, is 7-1-0 as the starting goalie for the Avalanche this season, his third with the team.

    Actually unreal that this goof would end up being a wife-beater. 3rd big name to drop from my fantasy team this season.. All in brutal "non-IR" fashion.. Not my year.. to bad I bet $200 on the side with a buddy for who finishes better...

    Money and Fantasy aside.. This is awful. And really though, who gives a fukk about fantasy when this shit's going on.. Jeeeeeeeez though...

    I keep thinking he's gonna stumble and show his age but he's been phenominal. I still wouldn't want to rely on him alone but who knows, he's proven me wrong since he left the Leafs
