Back Canucks at home

Look for the Vancouver Canucks, skating at home, to prevail this evening when they host the Los Angeles Kings.

The All-Star Game is over and it is back to business for the NHL. Friday we have the Canucks who came off a grueling 4-game road trip just before the break and managed a respectable 3-1 win-loss record.

Vancouver can force overtime games (four in their last 10 played), but do not expect this game to go to OT. Overall, Vancouver is 15-8 at home.

Los Angeles has been struggling with only five wins on the road all season. In the Western Conference, LA is dead last in the Pacific Division while Vancouver leads the Northwest Division. The Kings have had a lot of goalie injuries which does not help to build consistency.

This is the first matchup for these two teams since April 2006. Take Vancouver at home.
