Thornton is garbage, Marleau is garbage, Cheechoo is the only one with heart.

and roenicks days r numbered i think
Seems like the young players are the ones with heart these days(bobby ryan)(anaheim)

I find it hard to believe that players would disappear during the playoffs, especially Canadian players. Dont they want the cup? dont they want to win?

If you can do it in the regular season, you can do it in the playoffs, the game doesnt change... No matter how much people say or think it does, the game is the same, the players are the same.

If im the GM I dump Thornton and Marleau in the offseason and bring in some hungry players.

BTW, Im a Canucks fan. (Go Ducks)

No, not personally but from a fans perspective the only difference I could see is the physicality and effort, and if thats the case, why dont players play like that all season?

They have just admitted to themselves that they are slacking during the regular season.

Thats why the NFL is the greatest sport on earth, playoffs are exactly the same as the regular season, the way REAL sports are.

makes you wonder why they r lazy in the regular season but also, 82 games is alot, they in my opinion need to cut that down to at least 50, or lil lower

football has what like 16? thats smart, leave it to the canadiens to have an 82 game season

To be fair, you can't compare NFL with NHL for example.

While I agree that in the NFL the playoffs are almost the same as the Regular season, it's because they only play 16 games. Not 82.

You have a 16 game NHL regular season, then we'll compare!

This makes no sense at all. Did you forget about the Giants and Steelers running the gauntlet on the road and beating higher seeded "superior" teams en route to their Super Bowl victories?

How is a lower seed rising to the occasion and outplaying a more talented team on paper any different no matter which sport it is?

I think the NFL season should be longer, and 8 playoff teams per conference.

Any sport is different in the playoffs. Pressure is higher and some teams do enough just to get into the playoffs rather than worrying about a high seeding. Teams plan to peak in the playoffs where teams like SJS might have already done their best work.

    Overtime baby!

Sharks are one bounce away from elimination and the Wings will have to deal with a rested Ducks squad.

Let's go Los Angeles Dicks of Anaheim!!!!!!!!!

Nabokov is a choke artist in the playoffs for whatever reason. I've always thought he was a very overrated goalie. The fact he hasn't stolen a game or been the reason for the Sharks winning is why they will lose the series.

    Nabokov 2.78 GAA .888 SP%
    Hiller 1.51 GAA .959 SP%

    Absolutely night and day.

Bobby Ryan in OT I predict

Wow Sharks pull it off. I still think they are dead next game, but if they win game 6 they will probably win the series in game 7.
