Finally, folks....HOCKEY IS BACK! Rings have been handed out and the banner goes up tonight for my beloved Bruins. Hopefully, there's no Cup hangover for the black and yellow.
I'll be keeping a season long thread for the NHL, which is arguably my best sport. Some nights, there may not be any plays and some nights there could be 3-4. All plays will be TO WIN 1 unit on favorites and RISKING 1 unit on underdogs, unless otherwise noted.
Regular Plays = 1 unit
Strong Daily Play = 2 units
Max Play = 3 units (Not many throughout the season)
Let's make some money this season. Always feel free to post comment or questions and I'll try to answer in a timely fashion.
Goodluck everyone!
Thurs 10/7

Not quite sure who is going to score for the Jets tonight, they are just pretty awful. Both power plays have been non existent to start the season and Reimer has gotten off to a nice start for the Leafs and is between the pipes tonight. I'll take my chances tonight on U5.5
2011/12 NHL: 2-2 -.35

Quick gets his second straight shutout and the Kings are winners again
Three in a row and starting to round into NHL form. Small card tonight, but a couple decent betting situations tonight and this weekend. Might have my first bigger play of the season.
Sharks off to a rough start this season, but I think they can get a W in the first leg of B2B. I'm watching the Sharks closely tonight for a potential bigger play in the Bruins/Sharks game on Saturday night. Hedberg confirmed already and most likely Niemi for the Sharks.
Budaj in net tonight as Price gets a much needed night off. Panthers most likely have Markstrom as Theodore is nursing a lower body injury suffered in Saturday night's win at home. The Canadians have started off the year very poorly, but have had some stiff competition with losses to Toronto (twice), Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Calgary and a better Colorado team than years' past. I like the Canadians to end the slide tonight and I'll lay the small home chalk vs. the usually woeful Panthers.
Ugh, not the best of nights. A lot of dogs winning last night, which is good for hockey. Updated record is 8-8 -2.75
Backing up last night's 2 unit play with another one tonight on the Canucks. This was the best team in the league last year and now coming off a road loss @ Edmonton, face the improving Blues at home. I can't see the Canucks losing B2B and at home. The turnaround is coming and the aggressive style they played in the 3rd period last night is a sign. I'll jump on the Canucks again tonight.
