Kings/Blues OVER 5.5 (-125 Bookmaker)
Blues games are a perfect 6 for 6 in overs this season and I see no reason to fade that trend as all of those games have seen at least 7 goals! The Blues offense has been steady so far with the power play unit really humming right now. STL has scored multiple PP goals in 4 of 6 this season while the Kings have been quite gritty at killing penalties off. LA has allowed just 1 PP goal in 18 opportunites. Still, the Kings have given up 3 goals in all but one of their 5 games. Offensively, LA has found some success with 13 goals in their last 3 contests and the Blues are giving up around 3 goals per game this season. LA will need to account for more with their own PP to get this game in the over territory, but STL has allowed 3 PP goals in their last two, so this could be the time. King me bitch! Let's light the lamp!
Devils/Flyers OVER 5.5 (+120 5 Dimes)
The Flyers defense has been leaking goals more than snot leaks out of a baby with a cold. In 6 games, the Flyers have given up no less than 3 goals in a game and have given up 5 or more in 4 games! Their penalty killing unit has been torched for 11 goals in 39 opportunities. So Philly is giving the opportunities and letting the opposition take advantage. They've also started to generate some chances on offense with 10 goals in their last two games and they've scored at least 2 goals in all their games. New Jersey was in a goal scoring funk, but the last two games show they could be breaking out. 8 goals + the one counted for a shootout win. Their PP unit will need to pick it up and take advantage of the Flyers poor PK unit. So far the Devils are just 3 of 19 on the PP. The books want you to fear a bigger # with the Devils in play. Nay! We shan't be skerd! DEVILS! Light it up!
Figures the one with the shitty juice doesn't win. Blues get shutout 4-0. Woulda figured four goals by LA and this over would have been an easy win. Ahs well. 1-1.
