How often do you see totals drop 5 points from opening to closing line ?

Rookie in the lions den with a question...

Have you ever seen or taken advantage of 5 point (or more) middling opportunities in a NFL or or college game ?

If so why.... injury? weather ?

Happens frequently in college football, 1 week allows a lot of time for line movements.

injuries and weather can move the line considerably. i can remember when the fog rolled in for a football game and the total dropped like a rock.

Cards at Pats in 2008 opened at 47.5 or 48 and after news of the blizzard closed at 41.

    47-7 final

same thing with Titans at Pats in 2009.

dropped 4.5 i think and closed at 39

    59-0 final
