    BaseBall Information

Hey guys I'm in a Database course for university. As extra credit we can create, populate, and empty a database of anything we like. I wanna do it with baseball stats. Does anyone know of a place where I can get csv's or data easily to use to populate my database?

    Thanks you

Retrosheet indeed. Refer to this post for some Tips on populating the database, and some scripts to do it: http://blog.wellsoliver.com/2009/06/retrosheet/

ljump, have you had success using the scripts provided at the wellsoliver page? I tried his scripts to exhuastion with little luck.

I gave up when i decided i wasnt going to try to debug and trace someone elses codes. I was noticing his scripts were in an infinite loop that wasnt making any sense...

I have sense taken another route, that has proven more successful...But wanted to hear someone's opinions on using his code...

I'm not trying to down the author... i commend his work, and making it open source. His heart was in the right place
