The best insight I can give is if you find the holy grail, do not give it away on a public forum.

Exactly, guard your knowledge with your life. There's a bunch of good stuff that can get you on the right track in this forum. The breakthrough is gonna have to be a result of something you thought of on your own though in all likelihood.

I'm making it gambling, most of the time it's living.

The key is don't get greedy.

Yes. The same skills that apply to any financial market apply to the sports betting market.

I've been at it for almost 2 years now, and I think critical thinking and problem solving are huge. (There's also the minor detail of being proficient at advanced statistics)

I think the key words should be earning a living, if you put in the work day in an day out and you are not half a retard than you can do well.

I know a number of folks who grub out a basic subsistence from sports...it's not pretty, and I wouldn't call it "living."

None are living in penthouses with wild parties and sports groupies.

But the big boys don't talk to me and I don't talk to them. I'd doubt that any biggies hang out here with you losers. Too many parties to attend and groupies to service.

Dig around the Think tank....you'll at least be able to find enough EV sitting around to take the wife/girlfriend/life partner out to dinner once a month, to somewhere other than Arby's

    1. Patience. You have to have a lot of it to get over the bumps in the road, and there will be many.

    2. Confindence. You must be confident in yourself.

    3. Selectivity. You must be selective in your choices.

    4. Expertese. Find the sport that you are best at, and stick to it. I play football only. The time and efforts I put in now, during the off season, will pay off for me during the season.

    5. Money management. I can not stress that enough. There are many people in here who do not understand that principal.
