    Can I Automate a Strategy?

Hey guys, I was wondering if it's possible to automate a strategy? I have a strategy that I would like to try but I am too emotional and want to take the aspect of human emotion out of placing bets.

I would need a bot to basically go on to a bookie site and place a bet if the odds are above a certain threshold. Is this possible? Thanks.

If you open a Mollybet account (through an agent or whatever) you can simply set it up as the software supports that exact thing.

I believe you can using API, python, SQL, etc. I think some books do not allow bot/automated betting though.

The easiest way is to find an online book that supports some form of API.

I have no clue what mollybet is but it looks like they have an API which can be used to create a bot or create a ruleset for making bets similar to what one might find in an investment platform:

It'd be a little more difficult from scratch. You'd get a web crawler to screenscrape sports data from websites. Or pay for a source of real time sports data. Then there'd be your algorithm layer which could compare stats and make sense of it. Then you'd need a bot that can maintain sessions and login to existing accounts to place bets.

Mollybet already has all this. It's a platform that combines odds from all major (asian) bookies and exchanges (Pinnacle, matchbook, betfair, SBO, Maxbet etc) You simply go the market you want, type in the price you want, the amount and the platform will place the bet as soon as the price becomes available with 1 of the bookies in there. You can set the bet to expire at kickoff or any other time limit you want. No need to reïnvent the wheel...

mollybet sounds like a fantastic service....there's got to be a catch....how do they make money?
they just can't provide with a gateway to all low juice books without getting anything out of it for themselves?

Molly are a tech provider for agents.

The agents get kickback on bet volume from the low juice books, that's how they make their money.

Do I need to code in order to do this? I basically want to make a particular bet when the line is above a certain threshold. Do they allow this?

There are several threads about automated betting and bots in the Sportsbook and the Industry forum. Generally books respond badly to automated betting and bots as they're normally used to arb or chase steam. Having accounts closed or worse still, having balances confiscated for bot use is something you will need to be aware of. If you read through a book's terms and conditions for rules about bot use you will normally found rules that specifically prohibit them.
