Can someone give me a quick explanation of Live Betting and Reverse Betting. I tried to read up on it but being a old fart it still didn't make sense. Thx everyone for the help!
Live betting is betting while the game is taking progress, Bet365 has live betting for the whole game where the spread changes throughout the whole game, other sites like pinny have live betting but it only updates during tv time outs, so for example the other night the mavs where -4.5 against Golden State however they were getting killed so at one point the spread was mavs +5.5. Sometimes its a lot easier and you get better lines however with bet365 usually they are 20 or 25 cent lines
Reverse bets are tricky. It's essentially two if-bets. If you want to make a $2,000 Reverse Bet of two -110 sides, Side A and Side B, then what you've got is:
If Bet #1:
Side A $1,100 to win $1,000
*IF Side A wins or pushes: Side B $1,100 to win $1,000
If Bet #2
Side B $1,100 to win $1,000
*IF Side B wins or pushes: Side A $1,100 to win $1,000
So basically:
If you go 2-0, you gain $4,000
If you go 1-1, you lose $1,200
If you go 0-2, you lose $2,200
With a win and a push, you gain $2,000
With a loss and a push, you lose $2,200
I use 5Dimes for live-betting. love it. they also only put up lines during commercial breaks. i was pretty good at the NFL, but can't cap other sports, so won't use it. they do set-up for some real nice middles sometimes.
