    FourLengthsClear

Chat etiquette usually calls for "a/s/l" but the gambling equivalent is:

    Country/Sports/Years experience

FourLengthsClear might be the only sharp guy still regularly posting in the think tank.

UK/anything but still soccer is the single biggest/20+ but around 10 as a serious venture.

    Mathy, you are sharp.
Mathy, I am not sharp - I just work hard at it and have eliminated bad habits.
Mathy, I have had more failed attempts at modelling MLB than you could imagine.
Mathy, most of my time is spent setting up and babysitting my trading bot.
Mathy, give me a f****n' winner, pal

Sharp as a sword. Only reason I come by the think tank.

I have yet to tackle a major market head on. Too many factors, too many ways to model it, too small margins

Both mathy and FLC really are the best posters ont he board. Thank you guys. Mathy, without going into too much detail to unveil your secrets, what's your apporach to props? Do you try to price as many as possible to find +EV opportuinities or do you put more focus and time on certain derivatives/props?

For props step 1 is the following: look at a lot of different books and see if the prices vary. For one props market I did this and found scalps between some books. If this is the case then one of the two sides is +EV. Data can help you find out which one is +EV.

If only a couple books offer the prop and their prices are the same then that sucks for two reasons:
    - if the bet isn't +EV you wasted time collecting data for nothing
    - if the bet is +EV then it is fairly likely one of the books limits you and then you're basically done

Thanks, very insightful. Which books do you use?
