Best site for using Excel to import data from web?

When trying to import data from the web using Excel, Excel doesn't seem to like the way most sites have their data organized and I can't select the individual tables I want. The only site I have found that seems to work well is yahoo sports. I was wondering what other people use? Or is it possible to make changes in Excel so that other sites/tables will work better with the import data from web feature? Thanks

If using Excel 2007/2010, try using the Data tab and the web data source

Sometimes it imports the stuff in a decent fashion. Or you can write a script that cleans up the import.

I have also found that Excel's table import is sketchy. ESPN for example has really easy to read data in table format and the HTML uses very standard <table> tags to layout the data, yet Excel refuses to import the main stat table. GRRR!
