NFL Player News - Wild Card Week

    Courtesy of Footballguys.com

PHI - RB Miles Sanders' ankle not serious

Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero

Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders (ankle) has a low-grade, low-ankle sprain. He's expected to be OK for the playoff game Sunday, Jan. 5.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Eagles are at home to take on the Seahawks in the Wild Card Round on Sunday. Sanders should once again be their lead back so long as he doesn't suffer a setback during the game.

CHI - QB Mitchell Trubisky to remain starter

Source: Chicago Tribune - Brad Biggs

Chicago Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky will remain the starting quarterback in 2020.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Trubisky will be in a make-or-break year in 2020. He's been a bust for the Bears so far in three seasons and the team has him under contract through 2021 with the fifth-year option. He may have to undergo left shoulder surgery according to GM Ryan Pace sometime this offseason.

GB - RB Jamaal Williams expects to be ready

Source: The Athletic - Matt Schneidman

Green Bay Packers RB Jamaal Williams (shoulder) said Monday, Dec. 30 that he would have returned to the game in Week 17 if it were a playoff game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

He banged up his shoulder and did not return against the Detroit Lions. Williams and the Packers have a bye this week as the No.2 seed in the NFC. They will get the highest-seeded team from the NFC side of the Wild Card bracket in the Divisional Round of the playoffs.

NYJ - Le'Veon Bell not guaranteed to return

    Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini

New York Jets RB Le'Veon Bell is not guaranteed to return to the team next season since general manager Joe Douglas said he would be willing to listen to trade offers for him this offseason. 'Like I said, if teams do call, I'm going to listen. How those conversations go, I can't speak to that. That's hypothetical. When teams call, I will listen,' Douglas said.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The team will listen to offers for Bell but they may not get that many. Bell's contract is huge but the Jets might bend over backwards to get him out of the building.

NFL - Quartney Davis turning pro

    Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Charean Williams

Texas A&M WR Quartney Davis announced his intention to declare for the 2020 NFL Draft on Tuesday, Dec. 31.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Davis is declaring in what is a deep and talented draft class at the wide receiver position. He's got a good size/speed combination but Davis has never played up to his potential in college. Expect him to be a mid-to-late-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft.

PIT - QB Ben Roethlisberger set for February recheck

Source: Pittsburgh Tribune-Review - Joe Rutter

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (elbow) reportedly has a medical checkup scheduled in February that will be 'significant in terms of mapping out what is next,' according to head coach Mike Tomlin.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Roethlisberger insists that he's going to keep playing football for years to come. The reality is that Father Time has to be catching up to him...just like it did his draft classmates Eli Manning and Philip Rivers. We should see him severely limited this offseason with an eye on a return for the veteran quarterback during training camp.

NFL - Tony Jones Jr. declares for draft

    Source: CollegeFootballTalk.com - John Taylor

Notre Dame RB Tony Jones Jr. announced his intention to declare for the 2020 NFL Draft on Tuesday, Dec. 31.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones has prototypical NFL size, measuring in at 5-feet, 11-inches and 224 pounds but he wasn't that productive for the Fighting Irish. Plus, Jones was used sparingly as a receiver out of the backfield. Scouts will see him as a priority free agent, two-down banger unless he turns heads in the pre-draft process.

HOU - WR Will Fuller practices Tuesday

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (groin) returned to practice Tuesday, Dec. 31.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fuller is considered day-to-day with this groin injury. There's no guarantee that he'll be out there on Saturday against the Bills in the Wild Card Round. We'll see what he can do at Friday's practice.

CHI - Another shoulder surgery for WR Anthony Miller

    Source: ChicagoBears.com - Larry Mayer

Chicago Bears WR Anthony Miller (shoulder) will need surgery on his left shoulder for the second time in as many offseasons after injuring it returning a kickoff in Week 17 against the Minnesota Vikings.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Two years and two shoulder surgeries to the same shoulder is a bad sign. He had some big games down the stretch for the Bears, but Miller didn't really have much of an impact until the halfway point of the season. He'll be the No.2 receiver opposite of Allen Robinson but this surgery (just like last year) might cause him to be limited in training camp.

CHI - TE Trey Burton goes under the knife

    Source: ChicagoBears.com - Larry Mayer

Chicago Bears TE Trey Burton (hip) recently underwent surgery on his injured hip, according to general manager Ryan Pace.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Burton didn't do much of anything in eight games for the Bears this year. He finished the season with just 14 catches for 84 yards. We'll see if he can get right after this hip surgery and have a bounce-back year in 2020.

NFL - Deejay Dallas declares for NFL Draft

Source: South Florida Sun-Sentinel - David Furones

University of Miami RB Deejay Dallas has signed with a marketing agency, officially declaring for the 2020 NFL Draft.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

At 220 pounds, Dallas is your classic banger between the tackles. He's coming off an injury-shortened season since sustaining a left elbow dislocation in late November. Dallas should be good to go in the pre-draft process and will have a lot to prove in terms of pro athleticism. He's a hard-charging runner but might have enough juice to be an impact player in the NFL.

NFL - Trevor Lawrence takes out insurance policy

    Source: Stadium - Brett McMurphy

Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence has a $5 million insurance policy that covers permanent total disability if he is unable to play in the NFL, sources said Monday, Dec. 30. The Tigers signal caller is expected to be among the top picks in the 2021 NFL Draft, should he declare.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lawrence has looked like a No.1 overall pick in the NFL draft since his first snap as a true freshman last year for Clemson. He's likely to declare for the 2021 draft, the earliest he could enter the league, and Lawrence will have plenty of teams lining up for his services if at all possible. He has the makings of a franchise quarterback.

    Friday Update

NE - WR Julian Edelman questionable for Wild Card Round

    Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (knee, shoulder) was limited in practice Thursday, Jan. 2, and is listed as questionable for the Wild Card Round matchup with the Tennessee Titans Saturday, Jan. 4.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Edelman says he feels good, and he should be a big part of what the Patriots want to do through the air. We'll see him as Tom Brady's favorite target on Saturday.

HOU - WR Will Fuller will be game-time call

    Source: HoustonTexans.com - Drew Dougherty

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (groin) will be a game-time decision Saturday, Jan. 4, for the team's wild-card game against the Buffalo Bills, head coach Bill O'Brien said Thursday, Jan. 2.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fuller may play through this groin injury, but we won't know until before kickoff on Saturday. He's amazing when at full strength but we rarely get to see that. Even if Fuller does play, he could aggravate the injury during the contest. The Texans may have to use Kenny Stills more if Fuller is limited or out.

CLE - CLE hot after Urban Meyer

    Source: FOXSports.com - Bruce Feldman

Former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer is receiving strong interest from the Cleveland Browns.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Meyer is one of the many candidates the Browns have to be considering. He could be near the top of that list but we're not expecting a decision anytime soon. Once we hear about Meyer getting an interview with the Browns (which has yet to happen) then consider us skeptical that the interest is that strong.

HOU - WR Kenny Stills removed from injury report

    Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans WR Kenny Stills (knee) practiced in full Thursday, Jan. 2, and was removed from the injury report for the game Saturday, Jan. 4, against the Buffalo Bills.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Good news for the Texans here. Stills will do more if the team is without Will Fuller on Saturday. Fuller is considered a game-time decision with a groin injury.

PHI - TE Zach Ertz limited Thursday

    Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (rib, back) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, Jan. 2.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ertz is questionable for Sunday's game against the Seahawks. If he is not able to play, then the Eagles can turn to Dallas Goedert as their top tight end.

PHI - RB Miles Sanders sits out Thursday

    Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com

Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders (ankle) didn't participate in practice Thursday, Jan. 2.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sanders needs to participate on Friday in practice if he has a good chance at playing on Sunday against Seattle. The team has Boston Scott to turn to if Sanders can't give it a go.

Minnesota Vikings RB Alexander Mattison (ankle) practice in full Thursday, Jan. 2.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mattison should be back in action this weekend. He'll be the backup once again to Dalvin Cook who is also returning after missing time with a shoulder injury.

MIN - RB Dalvin Cook full-go once again

    Source: Vikings.com

Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook (shoulder) practiced in full Thursday, Jan. 2.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cook is good to go for Sunday's game against the Saints. He'll be the leading running back for the team with Alexander Mattison also returning this week as his backup.

PHI - RB Miles Sanders likely to practice Friday

Source: Philadelphia Daily News - Les Bowen

Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders (ankle) told reporters he intends to return to practice Friday, Jan. 3, and anticipates playing in the team's NFC Wild Card game against the Seattle Seahawks.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sanders needs to get out there Friday to increase his chances of playing on Sunday. We'll see if he practice then. If not, the team could turn to Boston Scott to do more from the backfield in the Wild Card Round.

NFL - Cole Kmet declares for the draft

    Source: CollegeFootballTalk.com - John Taylor

Notre Dame TE Cole Kmet announced his intention to declare for the 2020 NFL Draft on Thursday, Jan. 2.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kmet is one of the Fighting Irish's best weapons on offense, and he could be the top tight end off the board in the 2020 NFL draft. He originally said he would return for another season back in November but has changed his mind. Kmet is an intriguing size/speed prospect who could become an immediate weapon for whatever team drafts him.

TEN - WR Adam Humphries to miss playoff game

    Source: TitansOnline.com - Jim Wyatt

Tennessee Titans WR Adam Humphries (ankle) remained out of practice Thursday, Jan. 2, and will not play in the team's wild-card playoff game Saturday, head coach Mike Vrabel said Thursday.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Titans are banged up at the position with Humphries out and Kalif Raymond (concussion) mostly likely out as well. They take on the Patriots in Foxboro with A.J. Brown, Corey Davis and Tajae Sharpe as their top receivers on Saturday.

GB - RB Jamaal Williams practices Thursday

    Source: Packers.com - Wes Hodkiewicz

Green Bay Packers RB Jamaal Williams (shoulder) participated in practice Thursday, Jan. 2.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's a good sign for his availability next week in the Divisional Round. The Packers are waiting for the highest-seeded team who wins in Wild Card weekend.

KC - QB Patrick Mahomes off to historic start

Source: NFL Network - James Palmer

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes has posted the highest passer rating (108.9) among quarterbacks after their first three seasons (minimum 1,000 attempts).

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No surprise here. Mahomes shows no signs of slowing down even though he was a little banged up this season. The Chiefs are in a Super Bowl window so long as Mahomes is their quarterback.

IND - TE Eric Ebron unlikely to return

Source: FOX 59 Indianapolis - Mike Chappell

Indianapolis Colts impending free-agent TE Eric Ebron is not likely to return to the Colts, according to general manager Chris Ballard.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That leaves Jack Doyle and Mo Alie-Cox as the top two tight ends for the Colts entering 2020. Ebron should have a market for his services as a tight end who can line up all over the field. He had a down year in 2019, only appearing in 11 games and catching just 31 passes for 375 yards and three touchdowns.

IND - QB Jacoby Brissett not set in stone

Source: The Athletic - Zak Keefer

Indianapolis Colts QB Jacoby Brissett is expected to be the starting quarterback in 2020, but general manager Chris Ballard doesn't rule out the possibility that could change. 'The jury's still out,' Ballard said.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ballard was very clear with his statements about Brissett. The Colts could be in the market for a quarterback in free agency or the draft to add competition at the position. They have the No.13 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft and could consider taking a quarterback in that spot.

At least they have a starter-quality backup, bigger loss could be lack of two tight end sets.

Right, Goedert would start for most teams, it is why Eagles are most dangerous with two tight ends and that aspect would be sorely missed if Ertz can't go.

I still think the Eagles are a live underdog this weekend. Seattle beat them during the regular season and the Eagles are banged up worse than any other postseason team but they somehow seem to play better when it matters most in January.

The Eagles have not played anyone elite in the past 5 games... and they were in "must win" situations for a reason.
    Seattle takes this game.

    Saturday Update

PHI - RB Miles Sanders not on injury report

    Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com

Philadelphia Eagles RB Miles Sanders (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 3, and is not on the injury report for the Wild Card playoff game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's a good sign for Sanders and his availability for Sunday. The Eagles could use more of Boston Scott...and Jordan Howard too...if Sanders isn't quite himself against the Seahawks.

MIN - RB Dalvin Cook on track to play

    Source: Vikings.com

Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook (shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 3, and is not on the injury report for the Wild Card playoff game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cook has missed time with this shoulder injury with the team wanting him to be back for the postseason. He's back and should be the lead ball-carrier for the team against the Saints in the Wild Card Round.

PHI - TE Zach Ertz still not cleared

Source: NBC Sports Philadelphia - Dave Zangaro

Updating an earlier report, Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (ribs, kidney) still hasn't been cleared for contact Friday, Jan. 3.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That's not a great sign for his availability but the Eagles do play on Sunday. There are some reports that sound more optimistic. We'll see if Saturday he gets that clearance before he can play against the Seahawks in the Wild Card Round.

SEA - WR Jaron Brown has chance to play

Source: The Seattle Times - Bob Condotta

Seattle Seahawks WR Jaron Brown (knee) made a quicker recovery than expected and has a chance to play in the Wild Card playoff game, according to head coach Pete Carroll.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Brown has been missing time in practice due to this knee injury. With Malik Turner also missing practice due to a concussion, the Seahawks are banged up behind starters Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf.

NFL - Salvon Ahmed entering 2020 draft

Source: The Seattle Times - Mike Vorel

Washington RB Salvon Ahmed announced Friday, Jan. 3, that he will be entering the 2020 NFL Draft.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ahmed is likely to be one of the fastest, if not THE fastest, running back in the 2020 NFL draft. He's a speedy player who can gash a defense and work on special teams as a return man.

NFL - D'Andre Swift entering draft

Georgia RB D'Andre Swift announced Friday, Jan. 3, that he will be entering the 2020 NFL Draft.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Swift could be the best running back in this draft class. He's likely to be the top back off the board and a first-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft. Swift is a game-breaker who can score from anywhere on the field. He's a well-balanced runner who sets up defenders and does a great job of stacking moves upon moves in the open field.

BAL - RB Mark Ingram expected for playoff opener

Source: Baltimore Sun - Daniel Oyefusi

Baltimore Ravens RB Mark Ingram (calf) is 'on track' to play in the divisional round of the playoffs Saturday, Jan. 11, head coach John Harbaugh said Friday, Jan. 3.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This was the plan all along. The Ravens have a bye as the No.1 seed in the AFC and they are waiting for the lowest-seeded team who is victorious in the Wild Card Round. Harbaugh added that Ingram should be able to practice at 'full speed' next week.

    CAR - RB Christian McCaffrey a 2-position All-Pro

Source: The Associated Press - Barry Wilner

Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey was voted a first-team Associated Press All-Pro at two positions: Running back and the relatively new offensive flex position.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McCaffrey is only the third player in the NFL history (Roger Craig, Marshall Faulk) to be part of the 1,000/1,000 club. He is dangerous as a runner and receiver, so getting All-Pro at two positions is quite fitting.

IND - QB Jacoby Brissett won't go under the knife

Source: 1070 The Fan - Kevin Bowen

Indianapolis Colts QB Jacoby Brissett (knee) will not require surgery on his knee during the offseason, according to GM Chris Ballard.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Brissett was painfully average this year and that's why Ballard said the 'jury is still out' on his starting quarterback. The Colts have the No.13 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft and a quarterback might be an option for them there.

IND - No surgery for WR T.Y. Hilton

Source: 1070 The Fan - Kevin Bowen

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (calf) will not require offseason surgery on his injured calf, according to GM Chris Ballard.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Good news for the veteran wide receiver here. He wanted to play and tried to play at times with this calf injury but just wasn't the same. In 10 games, Hilton had just 45 catches for 501 yards and five touchdowns in 2019.

Ertz playing but how effective will he be? I'm using Dallas Goedert as my TE in my playoff fantasy leagues because I think Wentz leans heavily on him.

    Sunday Update

PHI - TE Zach Ertz cleared for playoffs

    Source: CSNPhilly.com - Derrick Gunn

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz (ribs, kidney) was medically cleared on Saturday, Jan. 4, and will play in the team's wild-card playoff game Sunday, according to a source.

Ertz was questionable all week but this is the playoffs, and he's going to be out there for his team. If Ertz isn't quite himself then perhaps Dallas Goedert will get some more snaps.

NFL - Jerry Jeudy enters draft pool

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Alabama WR Jerry Jeudy declared for the 2020 NFL Draft Saturday, Jan. 4.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jeudy reminds many in the scouting community of Amari Cooper because of his route-running ability and incredible concentration. He's one of the best receivers in this draft class, and this class is considered the best in the history of the league. Jeudy will be a first-round pick, no question, and he's likely to be a top-10 pick.

MIN - RB Dalvin Cook eager for return

Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero

Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook said he is ready to return Sunday, Jan. 5, as the team's lead running back after missing the final two regular-season games with a shoulder injury. 'We're going to get this thing back rolling,' Cook said.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cook has missed some time with an eye on returning for the postseason. He should be ready to go for the Wild Card Round against the Saints. Cook will be the lead ball-carrier and centerpiece of the Vikings offense on Sunday.

TEN - Tennessee out to retain QB Ryan Tannehill

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill is expected to receive a contract extension or franchise tag from the team this offseason.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Tannehill has made himself quite a bit of money with his play. He began the 2019 season as a backup to Marcus Mariota but took over as the starter after the team lost to the Broncos in Week 6. He won seven of 10 starts and led the team to the postseason.

JAX - QB Gardner Minshew not named starter for 2020

Source: The Florida Times-Union - John Reid

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Gardner Minshew will not enter into the offseason program as the team's starting quarterback, according to head coach Doug Marrone, nor will the head coach name QB Nick Foles as the backup. The team appears headed for an open competition this offseason, in the opinion of The Florida Times-Union's John Reid.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The old saying goes when you have two quarterbacks you really have none. The Jaguars will hold an open competition for the starting job (most likely) but they also need to be conscious about which player the locker room is warming up to. The team just seemed to respond better (at times) with Minshew as the starter.

NYJ - Short routes for WR Jamison Crowder

    Source: ESPN.com

New York Jets WR Jamison Crowder's 122 targets this season ranked 19th in the NFL, but his 833 receiving yards were the fewest of any player ranked in the top 25 in targets.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Crowder was a security blanket receiver for Sam Darnold in 2019. With Robbie Anderson likely moving on in free agency, it will be interesting to see what kind of other wide receiver talent the Jets can add. Either way, Crowder should continue being a relief-valve receiver in 2020.

CHI - WR Allen Robinson returned to form

    Source: ESPN.com

Chicago Bears WR Allen Robinson finished with 98 catches on a career-high 154 targets for 1,147 yards and seven touchdowns this season, ranking seventh in the NFL in receptions and third in targets.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mitchell Trubisky is the Bears quarterback in 2020 for better or worse. If he gets better this season then that could mean even better numbers for Robinson. Expect the Bears to add more talent to the passing attack this offseason.

CAR - Big jump for WR D.J. Moore

    Source: ESPN.com

Carolina Panthers WR D.J. Moore finished his sophomore season with 87 catches on 135 targets for 1,175 yards after logging 55 receptions on 82 targets for 788 yards as a rookie.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Moore became a playmaker in a big way for the Panthers in 2019. With Cam Newton likely moving on this offseason, it will be interesting to see who replaces him. No matter the quarterback, he had better build strong chemistry with Moore.

Saints laid an egg again in the playoffs and can't blame the officials this time.
