NYJ - OLB Calvin Pace, CB Antonio Cromartie could return
Source: Newsday - Kimberley A. Martin
New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles has not ruled out the possibility of the team re-signing free-agent LB Calvin Pace and CB Antonio Cromartie at some point.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Cromartie was released in February, and there's been no buzz about him connecting with another team. The Jets are more likely to bring Cromartie back to give them veteran depth in the secondary. They could also bring Pace back, but the Jets picked Darron Lee (Ohio State, 1st round) and Jordan Jenkins (Georgia, 3rd round) with premium picks in the 2016 NFL draft.

LA - Coach impressed with Jared Goff
Source: StLouisRams.com - Myles Simmons
Los Angeles Rams OB Jared Goff has been performing well during the rookie minicamp, according to head coach Jeff Fisher. 'He's doing a great job picking up our offense,' Fisher said. 'We've given him a lot more information than we did at the private workout and then that we did here at our meeting, and he's handled it without any problem. And that's the impressive thing. I passed him last night walking to the room and he was leaving the meeting room at 10 o'clock. He's that kind of guy. He'll spend the time. It's important to him.'

Fisher should be impressed with Goff. The first-overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft has the upside to be a franchise quarterback. Goff joins a team with a strong rushing attack and a stifling defense. That will greatly benefit the rookie as we're expecting him to start from Week 1.

CAR - WR Corey Brown had offseason surgery
Source: Charlotte Observer - Joseph Person
Carolina Panthers WR Corey Brown (shoulder) underwent shoulder surgery this offseason, according to LB Luke Kuechly.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Last November, Brown missed a couple of games with a shoulder injury so it's no surprise he would get some sort of surgery this offseason. We'll see Brown man the slot for the Panthers with Kelvin Benjamin returning to the lineup on the outside.

WAS - Josh Doctson to start eventually?
Source: RealRedskins.com - Rich Tandler
Washington Redskins WR Josh Doctson could overtake either WRs Pierre Garcon or DeSean Jackson in the starting lineup at some point in 2016, in the opinion of Rich Tandler of realredskins.com.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
We like Doctson, but we're not so sure that he's going to start on the outside in place of Garcon or Jackson. Doctson is not a speed receiver who can stretch the field like the veteran duo already in place. Instead, the rookie from TCU will likely be asked to work the slot as a rookie. He's fearless over the middle and a good route-runner, so playing slot WR for Washington might be his best fit.

WAS - Big workload for RB Matt Jones?
Source: RealRedskins.com - Rich Tandler
Washington Redskins RB Matt Jones could see 15 to 20 carries per game this season, in the opinion of CSNWashington's Rich Tandler.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Jones has a good chance of reaching that workload this year at the beginning of the season. Last year in Week 2, Jones had a monster game against the Rams with 123 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He failed to match that level of production the rest of the year, but it shows the type of potential that Jones has. If healthy, Jones should be the team's lead back. We will be watching to see if late-round pick Keith Marshall (Georgia, 2016) will be able to work his way up the depth chart.
