Have to wonder how much self control he has seeing that.

Same question as Shaun comes to mind, about could the same thing have happened during Kevin Ward incident.

I always thought it was a genuine accident really but to see an older mature driver go that far out of his way to wreck someone on the straight, for no obvious reason, makes you pause.

the ward thing was definitely not an accident

I never understood how people could think it was an accident

everyone saw the guy except Stewart

if he seriously didn't see him than he was poor vision and shouldn't be allowed on the track

I am certain he saw him, and he did not try to avoid him

whether he was trying to kill Ward or just knock him down is something only Smoke knows, but it's despicable

he had zero remorse (whether it was accidental or not, you'd expect remorse) and NASCAR let him continue to drive when he either murdered a fellow driver or is simply incompetent (in either case, there's no way he should be allowed to drive a race car)

smoke's conduct with ward was intentional, but he didn't intend to kill the guy....

ward underestimated what smoke would do, and foolishly leaned in toward smoke's ride to tell him off, etc., right at the moment smoked happened to gun the engine.... the combination of ward coming toward smoke and smoke's ride instantaneously moving up the track when he goosed the engine combined to cause the unfortunate death

That's the popular narrative but I think if you watch a video again you will find that the rear wheels slid away from Ward to the inside of the track when he gunned it. Tony went way too close to him but at the critical moment Ward walked into the car I think.

That fat fuk is a murderer 100%. Like you said Yis, people are fuk'in idiots if they think that was an "accident". Stewart has demonstrated time and time again what a complete asshole he is and this past weekend was no different. How Nascar can allow this fuk'in dip shit to still be on track is beyond me. He must have some dirt on the France family. If I was Brian Scott, that fuk'er would be into the wall the very next race first lap!

In the United States, the small guy can't go against the big guy in this type of thing. He touches Tony, he might never get a chance at the big time. Tony is rich and he isn't. USA.

Don't agree with it, but just how it is and why Tony can be so cocky about it.

The only thing Smoke shit will be remembered for is that he killed a 19 kid on purpose with a sprint car, and I'd say it right to that asshole's face if I ever run into him.

Custer has 1 race left in regular season to get a win to get into the chase. If he doesn't win next week at Chicago, then payback will happen in one of the 7 races of the truck series chase.

i think he'd have to be in the top 30 in pts, too.....

unless nascar bends the rules, and given the boring chase field thus far, adding Gordo would certainly get fan interest way up over what it will be otherwise....

hopefully if he does win one, they'll act quickly and add a "past champion with one win automatically makes the chase no matter what his points total is" exception to the regular rules!

Gordon isn't even running all of the races, but I suppose he would if he can get a win. Obv Nascar would let him in somehow.

I think the chase field is pretty good. Only the last couple guys can't get a legit win.
