Brian Wilson, what happened to him?

tried to look it up online to what happened to him.
    I found nothing

Anybody in the bay area might have the inside scoop?

he had tommy john surgery for the 2nd time, and worked out for the mets in the winter. they were "unimpressed". he says he refuses to rush back and will only start trying out for teams when is arm is fully ready. a lot of people pegged detroit to end up signing him, but detroit just gave valverde a minor league deal and wilson is nowhere nearing a return as of right now. i personally think he will end up on some roster desperate for a closer, and there are a few teams that fit this bill, but hes not worth anything right now for fantasy purposes unless you have a huge bench in a real deep league maybe a speculative stash

Detroit should have given him a shot instead of Valverde. Even if Wilson wont be ready for a while Valverde wont be on the roster immediately. Valverde also blows.

His second surgery was like 11 months ago and they say normal recovery time is 12 months, so if you take him at his word that he won't try out until he is 100 percent, he should resume auditioning for teams around May.

Does anyone have any thoughts on Lackey? I know they are saying bicep strain but right above the repaired elbow seems fishy to me.

yeah, as a sox fan lackey worries me...to be honest i've always hated lackey even since the days on the angels, but hes on my team so i try to root for him...im skeptical, i know they are saying bicep strain, and its not as bad as it seems, yada yada...but still raises flags with that arm...its too bad he was pitching fairly well too

Detroit needs all the bullpen help they can get at this point.

Think he still can right himself and be a solid pitcher. Tough to live up to the standards he set a few years ago.

same as me, I almost just want him to be hurt so they can take the hit wash their hands of him. Big hit but I hate the guy

Wilson had one good year and became overrated after that.

Lackey has been terrible since 2010. No idea why Boston ever went after him.

he is still trying to get his arm 'game-ready'...to me, it seems like a few teams could use him considering how bad their bullpens are (st. louis comes to mind first, although maybe mujica can stabilize that pen) but miami, detroit, and colorado are all in need of bullpen help

Blue Jays can use him also if he does not insist on closing games.

My Astros could use him as a long reliever. The Astros dont need someone who gets saves since they won be in position to win often

Astros don't want him because Wilson wants more than 600k a season

Wilson deserves more than $600k if he can go back to his previous form.
