Which 1st baseman would you take ?

Konerko, Morales, M Young or Morneau ? Who is the best of these players for Head to Head fantasy this year ?

I would actually prefer Konerko over Morneau. I'm not Morales fan at all. I don't think Young would do enough to be your main 1B spot.

I'd take konerko over Morneau; niether will provide you with any SB; The twins are awful and Konerko plays on a better offense so konerko should pile up at least as many RBI; Konerko is a 283 lifetime hitter and has hit 300 each of the last 3 years Morneau has it just 279 since his injury; Konerko also gets on base more and should get at least as many Runs if not more; and Morneau has hit about 20hr/600pa over the last 3 years, Konerko's number has fallen but still hit 26 last year.

Konerko's not one play away from being catatonic like Morneau.

I actually think Konerko is an easy choice off of that list. His ZIPS projection has his WAR at 2.4, Morneau is at 1.3

agreed with everyone here who says konerko...to me its actually not even close. think about the ballpark as well, white sox play in a very hitter friendly field, while the twins field is terrible for homers...the twins lineup isnt actually as bad as people say, and the white sox isnt great, so that is a wash...but you will get a much better batting average from konerko, and he is FAR less injury prone, morneau seems to never make it through a full season...think back to just a year ago, konerko was putting up MVP type numbers before the all star break

    I agree with this one

Pauly can mash the ball, its a matter of time before he heats up
Morneau doesn't seem to have the pop off his bat like he use to, same could be said about the catcher for the Twins, Joe Mauer

I'd take Morales - he was on his way to a good career until that freak injury.

Ike Davis just became available too, I'm thinking of dropping Morneau and taking one of these 3: Konerko, Berkman or Davis

Seattle isn't the best home field for hitting homers and he hasn't been as good since he came back

those three are much closer; though I'd still take Konerko, Davis has a bit more upside and could well out perform Konerko.

You convinced me LT I just went in and picked up Konerko and dropped Morneau. Konerko is off to a slow start but he was good in preseason so he should be fine.

Konerko. I think Morneau will have good year but Konerko is more of the safer play.
