Anyone Willing To Play Alfred Morris In Wk2 @ STL?

I snagged him off the FA list yesterday, hoping to strike lightning in a bottle. Still don't think I can trust Shannahan. As a Torain owner the past 2 years, I've definitely gotten screwed by the Skins system of "running back by committee." I need some opinions on Morris.

I had Fred Jackson as my Flex player......now i'm digging into my bench....and all roads point towards Morris unless I want to take a chance on Benson, Blackmon or Boldin.

just hope fred jackson's injury isn't too serious. that 's a big blow after week 1. how can you trust skeletor after what he did in previous years with torain, helu, and hightower?

Just read on rotoworld that Shannahan just named Alfred Morris the starter.

Morris has what it takes in that system.

    Helu, Royster=Steve Slaton

Have speed, quickness, but dont have the vision to see the hole opening up or the patience to wait for blockers to set up downfield.

    Morris=Arian Foster

Made a point of getting him in 4/5 leagues.

This guy knows how to pick a hole and explode through it. One-cut downhill runner. Delivers the contact. Knew it the first time I saw him run in the pre-season. RGIII loves him. RBs playing with mobile QBs also hold added value.

From what I've heard, he fits Shannahan's zone blocking scheme real well. I just have a hard time trusting a RB on a Mike Shannahan team. I think everyone was a bit surprised to see Morris run the ball 28 times. I didn't think any of their RBs would carry the ball more than 15 times, I was expecting a pretty even split between Morris, Royster and Helu.

With Shannahan coming out and calling Morris the starter after an impressive game yesterday, I feel fairly comfortable starting him against the Rams in week 2. Looks like Morris will be the primary RB, and Helu will be the 3rd down back, which likely puts Royster out of the loop.

Good matchup vs St. Louis next week. If you're wanting to move him do it after next week because his stock will be higher.

Until a switch is made you gotta go with Morris. That said, I'd be surprised if he's starting week 10, that's just how Shannahan is...

Roll with Morris until you have a reason to change.

Yeah. Shanny names A.Morris starter, for now.

Fuk Shanahan and his Redskin RB's.

Read the bold in the quote below.

Alfred Morris - RB - Redskins

Redskins coach Mike Shanahan endorsed Alfred Morris as his starting running back Monday.

"Alfred right now is our starting running back," Shanahan said. In Shanny-speak, that means Morris is in line for zero carries in Week 2. Kidding aside, not even Shanahan will be able to pull a fast one after Morris rushed for 96 yards on 28 carries in Sunday's win, and generally looked at home in the Redskins' zone-blocking scheme. With Roy Helu and Evan Royster both waiting in the wings, Morris remains a tenuous long-term investment, but he seems likely to lead Washington's backfield in carries in Week 2 against the Rams.
A.Boldin maybe the safest option at your flex. That Ravens uptempo offense looks pretty good.

Think I'm going to roll the dice with Alfred Morris in week 2. I just don't trust Boldin, especially up against that Eagles secondary.
