    SBR Store Question...

If I didn't sign up for a fantasy site through SBR, can I still get Fantasy Cash? Or do all sign ups have to be through SBR?

yea, I can't order now. This is more of a longterm thought process.

    Questions are:

Why would I sign up through SBR if I didn't get anything extra on deposit?

Why would SBR let me signup somewhere else and then let me buy it in the store if I didn't initially sign up with them?

Seems like there is no doubt they'd change this

I have played at both Draftstreet and Dailyjoust, and I have to say, I like Draftstreet's interface and userability much better. Also like their MLB set up where you pick 2 starting pitchers and 2 relief pitchers as well...just my personal preference maybe, but I'd definitely vote Draftstreet over Daily Joust.

draftstreet is my favorite. i bet draftday comes along nicely. fanduel is the one that promotes the most

a few others have gone under. your money isnt 100% safe at these sites..bettinggeek is one that sbr promoted but now is no longer there and people were having problems getting funds out.

You're smart to be skeptical of any site that holds your money (fantasy sports or otherwise). I'm one of the owners of DraftDay, and just wanted you to know that we hold all player account balances in a segregated bank account. You can read about the owners of our site on our "About Us" page, but we have a huge incentive to not screw up our reputations in the gambling industry as we own some other online poker related sites (CardRunners and Hold'em Manager).

    Good luck!

Next step for SBR? Reviewing these fantasy sites, and helping getting players paid?

I mean, if sports betting itself won't be legal in the US, then of course you'd have to assume that the fantasy side of the "gambling" will grow in the near future. It would then likely follow that SBR will and should begin to assert some sort of independent authority in this market if possible. Apart from some going under however, I've never had a problem with some decent sized withdrawals (a couple over $1K) at Draftstreet and/or Dailyjoust....

Thats what I was thinking, but as I said in another thread...we need someone that actually knows fantasy to be the one reviewing these sites. I'm not sure if SBR has that yet and would be willing to spend money on someone. Best thing to do would be just go find someone that plays every site and pays alot of fees.

If you net $600 or more in cash outs, you get sent a 1099. Just something to be aware of.

Yes that is good point Rudy....I suppose that's the other side of the coin...I'll have to look into this further as I've certainly had a few payouts over this number...good point.

Just to further clarify what Rudy added...here is the language from Dailyjoust's site about the $600 net...

"Users who have won $600 or more (net of all entry fees) in a calendar year will need to provide address and social security details. These details will be used to file a 1099-MISC with the Internal Revenue Service for USA citizens."

Why is Daily Joust bonus cash so much more cheaper than the other sites in the SBR store?

They probably have a deal with SBR and want more signups. I know when they had the BetPhoenix freeplays in the store they were cheaper for a long while until prices rose and everything reached parity.

They gave you the $50 in "bonus bucks"??? That is horse shit!!!

I think on dailyjoust the bonus bucks are just to cover like 10% of every entry fee per game you enter. So if you join a $20 h2h daily baseball match-up, you will only be charged 18 from your normal account and 2 will come from your bonus bucks....in essence, you'd have to still have plenty of money in your account and put it in play to ever see the bottom of that $50.

Bonus bucks SBR??? Seriously?? HORSE SHIT!

That answers why it's so much cheaper than others, because it's not worth shit!

bigdaddy, if/when you cash...you just need to see how much is put back in your actually account...only way to determine if its a freeplay?

1099s are sent for almost if not every site that you exceed $600 in profit cashouts.

From my understanding if you deposit 2000 over the course of the year, and withdraw 1500, you wont receive the 1099.

    Clarification from anyone?

I totally agree with the review comment - there are so many questions that it does sound like it's time for SBR to do a full review & rating of fantasy sites. -

This would benefit all members big time.

You could always get sportsbook cash to books you didn't sign up with a SBR link. They recently changed it and only allow you to get sportsbook cash to books you've signed up with through the SBR link. Right now it might be worth it for you to make it through a site you get a bonus, but long term if you are looking to get more money through SBR they will probably change their rules.
