    BD, Ohio State (10-2-1) this past season has been a pretty consistent money play the past five years. 9-4 (2009), 6-6 (2008), 7-5 (2007), 9-4 (2006) and 9-3 (2005).

Remember when you were affraid to take the Under against Florida State. The Noles used to lite it up during the old days.

Very nice job done Big Daddy. Ohio State and Oklahoma State always bring money in college football in my opinion. To me in college games, I just concentrate on 6 teams, TAIL or FADE them, that's it. And of course, two teams above have great expectations in my income table. By the way, keep up the good job and bring us some profitable source in this college football forum just simply we play on too much kind of games NFL, NCAA, Soccer, NBA ... can't gathering up all the information folks.

The Florida State stat was the most surprising to me. Everyone was talking about Ponder and his health, but it was their defense that won games for them. In the three games that wnet over the total, their defense gave up 37, and 44 points. They gave up 28 points in a loss to N.C. State, but the under covered. They did not give up more than 19 points in any other game.

Arizona State was also a surprise. They went 6-6 during the year, and 4-6 S/U in lined games, yet the only game they failed to cover in was a 50-17 drubbing by, of all teams, Cal. That was really nothing new, seeing as Arizona State is 0-6 ATS in their last 6 appearances in Berkeley.

In all fairness, VT's record for the past 4 years (2006-2009) was 26-23-2, not eactly a money maker. Ohio State has been a good money maker, going 41-20-2 in the past 5 years.

BD, I haven't looked this up but bet you a corndog that Marshall and Tulane have been money burners the past few years. If ever in doubt on a Saturday and need a play....go against Tulane. Love the New Orleans guys but nothing there...SAD...and won't be for awhile. Tulane was once a member of the SEC. I remember back when..................

Looked up Tulane and Marshall. Not sure about the 2010 season but for the past five years these teams have been a fade as I suggested.

    Tulane
    3-8
    5-7
    5-6
    4-8
    2-8

    Marshall
    7-6
    4-8
    3-9
    5-7
    4-7

Knew I was in the ball park as fades.........good thread BD.

That is Marshall's record S/U. ATS, it is similar. Last year, ZMarshall was 5-7 S/U, and 4-7-1 ATS. Previous ATS records for Marshall was 7-5, 4-7, 4-5-2, 4-7 for an ATS total of 23-31-3 for the past 5 years.

You have Tulane's ATS record correct. Last season they were 4-8 S/U and 5-6 ATS. 23-35 ATS for the past 5 seasons. Those are amongst the worst in the BCS.

Other tidbits: Air Force had their first losing season ATS since 2006, when they went 5-7 ATS last season. Other teams with poor ATS records for the past 5 years are Akron (22-35-2), Arkansas State (21-35), Eastern Michigan (22-35-1), Fresno State (21-38-1), Kent State (22-31-2), Memphis (21-35-3), Miami Fl. (23-36-1), Michigan (22-35-3), North Texas (23-35-1), and UNLV (22-35-2). Conversely, teams that have fared well in the past 5 years are Boise State (38-22-2), Central Michigan (37-21-4), Ohio State (40-20-2), Oklahoma (38-26-1), and TCU (36-24-1). Notice how much bigger the number of teams with ten or more ATS losses vs wins in 5 years is when compared to the number of teams that have had 10 or more ATS wins vs losses in the past 5 years.
