Been a struggle of late for me. 3 straight losing weeks, highlighted by a terrible 1-4 performance last Saturday. Given back most of my profit for the season during that span. Hoping to turn things around this weekend.
4* Michigan St. +3: Despite their 2-5 conference record, MSU could just as easily be 5-2 in the Big 11, with each of their 5 conference losses coming by 7 points or less. The offense has developed into arguably the premier offense in the conference, with only OSU’s defense doing an adequate job of containing MSU’s running game. PSU QB Anthony Morelli is just 3-3 on the road in conference play in his career, with a 5-8 TD/INT ratio in that span, and the Nittany Lions’ run defense has struggled against the better rushing teams in the conference – UM, Illinois, OSU.
3* Indiana +2.5: Another home team in need of a win to assure a spot in a bowl game. Purdue’s a team in disarray right now following a disappointing home loss to MSU. Purdue QB Curtis Painter continues to make costly mistakes, but the biggest problem for the Boilermakers has been the protection from the OL, something that doesn’t figure to be corrected against a Hoosiers’ defense that’s second in the conference in sacks. Joe Tiller could be on his way out after another mediocre season, and if turnovers continue to plague the Boilermakers, they will fall behind quickly against a talented Indiana offense which is developing a pretty strong home field advantage and now finds itself 1 win from their first bowl appearance in 14 years.
