**Oklahoma versus Oregon**

–LVSC opened Oregon as a three-point favorite over Oklahoma, with the total listed at 55. ESPN starts its coverage of the Holiday Bowl Thursday, Dec. 29 at 8:00 p.m. ET.

–Oklahoma (7-4 SU, 5-6 ATS) improved to 5-1 SU and 4-2 ATS its last six games by routing rival Oklahoma State Nov. 26 as a 17 1/2-point home ‘chalk,’ 42-14. The combined 56 points eclipsed the 53-point closing total, helping the ‘over’ improve to 7-2.

–The Sooners jumped out to a 21-7 halftime advantage before putting the game away with 14 points in the fourth quarter. Oklahoma ended the game leading the Cowboys in first downs (17-7), rushing yards (354-13), passing yards (206-126), turnovers forced (2-1) and time of possession (35:27-24:33).

–Quarterback Rhett Bomar completed 13-of-21 passes for 206 yards with three touchdowns and an interception, and running back Adrian Peterson had 24 carries for 237 yards with two scores. Wideout James Moses had three catches for 56 yards and a touchdown in the victory.

–Oregon (10-1 SU, 7-3 ATS) finished the regular season with seven consecutive SU victories (5-2 ATS), but that wasn’t enough to get the Ducks into a BCS game. Oregon wrapped up its regular season by routing rival Oregon State Nov. 19 as a 13 1/2-point home favorite, 56-14. The combined 70 points toppled the 58-point closing total, helping the ‘over’ cash the second matchup in a row.

–The Ducks throttled the Beavers, jumping out to a 28-7 halftime advantage. Oregon scored two touchdowns every quarter, and finished the game with advantages in first downs (25-18), rushing yards (140-119), passing yards (262-178) and turnovers forced (5-0).

–Quarterback Dennis Dixon was 12-of-17 passing for 204 yards with three touchdowns, while running back Terrence Whitehead had 12 carries for 81 yards and a score. Wideouts Jaison Williams (two catches for 75 yards and a touchdown) and James Finley (three receptions for 40 yards) enjoyed solid efforts in the victory.

–The Sooners beat the Ducks last year as a 27 1/2-point home ‘chalk,’ 31-7. There was no total on that contest.

–Neither Oklahoma or Oregon are reporting any new, major injuries heading into this contest.

–San Diego’s gameday forecast calls for partly cloudy skies, with a high of 65 degrees and a low of 51.
